Title: Jadakiss giving the industry the "Kiss Of Death" (RELEASE DATE)
Post by: CRAFTY on February 22, 2004, 08:28:43 AM
While in L.A. for the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, Jadakiss of the LOX/D-Block/Ruff Ryders stopped by the Fantastik 4our show on Friday night and announced that his next album entitled Kiss Of Death would be arriving in stores April 6, 2004 on Interscope Records.

To help generate the buzz for the album, Jada's been grinding and showing up on guest spots from Bone Crusher's "Never Scared (Remix)" down to Ghostface's latest single, "Run" and Tony Touch's "Piecemaker II."

"It's real crazy, it's real hip-hop, it's real grown up," Jadakiss said of his upcoming LP. "It's real energetic... it's just a beautiful movement for the Ruff Ryders."

He further went on to add his opinion of the pressures that lurk around him being among rap's elite and avoiding a sophomore flop by stating: "it's a lot of pressure, but it's beautiful pressure".

As far as production on the album, production will include Kanye West, Pharell, Havoc (Mobb Deep) and guests include Nate Dogg (which should be surfacing soon), Anthony Hamilton, Sheek Louch, Styles P.

Jadakiss also mentioned that while in L.A. he was going to be working with Snoop Dogg.

The first single off Kiss Of Death is the title track "Kiss Of Death" featuring Styles P. on the chorus, which has dropped and is invading mixshows and mixtapes around the country.

Jada's sophomore LP the Kiss of Death is scheduled to drop April 6th.

Looking forward to this album, Jada been dropping heat on guest appearances recently.

On the Neptunes thing, Chad doesn't get enough credit for the work he does, but Pharell is the much more media friendly of the two, and sings the hooks which is therefore that is why he gets more attention. Sha ("the other black dude"), is only a member of NERD, and does some vocals and prodbably production elements on their albums, but is not part of the Neptunes.

If Pharell has produced this track on the Jada album all by himself, then thats ok, they should credit it as Pharell. I'm just saying that in general Chad doesn't get as much credit as he should for his work as part of the Neptunes.

Anyone know when the next LOX album comes out? I heard "streets is back" a long ass time ago and I thought that might've been a single from their next cd but I haven't heard shit otherwise about any release dates or whatever.

Their new album "Live, Suffer, Celebrate" is supposed to be released somewhere in mid 2004 (April/May/June) normally...
