Anyone else think Scott Storch's production sounds a lot like Dre's? I also originally thought that 'The Way I Am' was produced by Dre until I heard different a while ago. Their production style certainly has some similarities. It was the same thing for me with WC's 'The Streets (re-twist)' featuring Snoop and Nate: I was willing to bet money on that track being a Dre beat when I heard the single being played on TV. When I went on and picked up the album I open it to find Scott Storch as producer. Still, having a production style likened to Dre (and working with Dre for that matter) is no bad thing... 8)

And to answer your silent question Scott Storch is one of Dre's Musicians I.E. The person that actually creates the music!

Yeah I know that Scott Storch has worked with Dre in the past - which is why I said that in my first post ;) I'm just saying that I feel their production is becoming increasingly similar...

Yeah it was Scott Storch. The thing that annoys me with this track is that Storch isn't gonna get any credit for this because everyone is gonna assume its a Dre beat, cause it sounds similar to one and then Knocturnal's first line is "i've been riding for five years with DRE". Its gonna go down as one of those tracks alongside Truth Hurts - Addictive and Blackstreet - No Diggity which the mainstream just assumes is produced by Dre.

Thats what I was saying if you actually read what I said. Although DJ Quik did "Addictive" and Teddy Riley did "No Diggity", a lot of the mainstream just assumes they are Dre productions.

yeah scott has done alot for dre without his name in the productions note for exampel he did the keyboard riff on "still dre"

scotts a dope producer, his sick on the keys but he aint touchin dre, ther sound is simliar, but when dre does something it always sounds mo sick n original dre........only melman can come with sick dre style beats to the fullest cuz he brings the futuristic typa funk to the beat
