Title: above the law death row victims?
Post by: o g s u e s o n e on March 04, 2004, 04:19:19 AM
this morning when i was drivin to work i bumped ATL legends in my stereo. xo wit me, sumner days, karma.... damn that album is dope. but whats the deal wit them now? i was askin this weeks back yea but there is still no new website or announced new release. so  i was askin myself. has this somethin to do wit death row/suge? they wanted to drop this diary of a drugdealer lp, maybe a movie or a book to that.(i remember OFTB after they left death row they only dropped a pretty weak compi and after that they re like dead). i doubt it has somethin to do with suge ..... but they released the forever rich thugs and the hutch solo i think it was in 99. they signed to deathrow -> no album. now 3-4 years later...... still nothing from them. ok there was this sex money and muzik single cd which i cant find anywhere to purchase. that point is i really wanna hear a new ATL album. after they left death row nuthin happened.  :-\

i dont think tha row has much to do with it.. although the affiliation might have effectivley black balled them in the eyes of some people.

thought http://www.abvdlaw.com would have been back by now.. :(

Above The Law are legands, but theyre is no doubt that theyre future in Hip Hop looks bleak right now.

I mean appart from the die hard ATL fans, who really wants to hear them again? I mean Crooked I, Cube, Jayo, WC all struggle to put out hit records... is there a future for someone like ATL?

I doubt it

That Compilation is actually quite good. I liked the idea of that at the time. Return of the West - had a gang of new acts, and unsigned acts too. Off Tha Ringer was hot, It's Goin Down was a nice nice track

I know one of the guys, I think KMG, got caught with a shitload of crack, so I think one of them might be locked up.
