i been listening to the radio all morning (KVEG from Las Vegas) and they been saying all morning that wu-tang is reportedly in talks with Dre to sign with Aftermath....don't know if it's true, but i been hearing it all morning......
-
probably stemming from that rza interview thing .. look in the outbound section, its in amongst the stuff where rza was talkin about the u-god situation
-
I still consider this a rumor (don't think that Wu-Tang would fit Dre's beats).
-
doesn't mean that gotta have a dre production... just be on his label.. they got their own producers
-
really I don't believe anything in the music industry these days. I mean even if they did sign, there is a great possibility that they would never even drop anything on the math. plenty of rappers have come and gone on aftermath, pretty much the only time I will ever believe something in the music biz is when I see an album in stores or up for download.
-
Who ISN'T supposed to be signing to Aftermath these days ??? Seems like every time I come online there's a new story about a potential or confirmed signing.
''Xzibit is signing to Shady/Aftermath''....''Busta Rhymes has just signed to Aftermath''...''Bone Thugs N' Harmony are reported to be signing to Aftermath''...''Is Pharoahe Monch in talks to sign to Aftermath?''
When will the madness end...hey Dre, concentrate on putting an Aftermath ALBUM out before signing another artist! There's no point in having some of the best rappers in the game on your team if you're not gonna release any of their music! ;)

you guys don't understand. the music industry makes up these rumors, to keep the fans interested in the rappers. for instance, it may have been awhile since wu tang has dropped an album (I'm not sure) a lot of people could have forgotten about wu tang and so when people hear shit like this on the radio, it refreshes their memory. Same reason Kronik over at dpg records lies so much, it cause their are so many groupies over on that forum that they will get so excited over the bullshit news, and they will talk about it, tell everyone, spread the rumors to other sites and forums, etc. It circulates Daz name. Its called promotion, and an extremely cheap form of it too. America is a society of people with very short attention spans, and unless your like someone like Dre, if you don't put an album out every year, people are gonna lose interest and forget about you (unless you keep your name out there, by guest appearances, news/rumors, beefs, and even lies)

Very good points.

I heard Elvis Prestley is signing with Aftermath. Dre gave him some plane tickets to go to LA but Elvis said he had his own wings.
-
just postin what i heard on the radio...didn't say i believed it, but just postin it
-
I ain't tryna bust your balls, I'm just sayin that the music industry starts a shitload of rumors and explaining why they do it.
-
^^ i know you're not, i was just sayin
but i saw this on sohh.com:
In an interview with MTV, U-God recently revealed The RZA was at the center of Wu-Tang Clan's problems. In addition to referring to his Wu experience as slavery, Golden Arms said that Clan members routinely snitched on each other and that RZA often made certain members including him feel inferior to the clan's standouts. U-God also claims that he, Inspectah Deck and Masta Killah were left to 'fend for themselves' while other members were already in the limelight.
RZA denies U-God's claims in a statement posted on his Wu Tang Corp website, revealing that his company gave U-God over a million and a half dollars in promotion and advances and that he got to keep at least 50 percent. The RZA also addressed the rumors that the Wu was headed to Aftermath and said that he and Dr. Dre were presently talking about the possibility.
