Title: When Slick Rick Drops Another Album...
Post by: Don Breezio on April 10, 2004, 02:51:22 PM
who do you think will be best fit to produce for him?

i dunno about you guys (and i probably will be the only one to say this and im not proud to say it) but i think The Neptunes would be his best bet...if they brought some of that funky shit they've brought in the past like excuse me miss, or frontin or something like that...i think rick would fit perfectly over those...he's always had kinda funky beats. but then again i could see him over a kanye beat too.

Hrmmmm, I actually can't think of anyone. Slick Rick never stuck to one producer.

He ran a contest a few months ago to let the fans produce a track for his new album.  No shit.  He was accepting beats, and was going to pick one for his new album.

True, but I'd rather see Slick Rick do his own thing, get some underrated or unknown producers on his album, rather than just jump on the bandwagon of the latest hot producer.
