After spending the past several years immersed in film roles and guest spots on other artist's material, Method Man returns to his own music next month with "Tical 0: The Prequel." Due May 18 via Def Jam, the album is Meth's first solo set since 1998's "Tical 2000: Judgement Day," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 2 on The Billboard 200.
The new album is overflowing with guest stars, including longtime colleague Redman, who appears with Snoop Dogg on "We Some Dogs." Meth's Wu-Tang Clan cohorts Ol' Dirty Bastard and Ghostface Killah lend a hand on "Ain't a Damn Thing Changed" and "The Afterparty," respectively. RZA produced the track "The Turn" featuring Raekwon.
The 18-track "Prequel" is rounded out by the P. Diddy-produced "Say What" featuring Missy Elliott, first single "What's Happenin" featuring Busta Rhymes, "Rodeo" featuring Ludacris, and "Baby Come On" featuring Kardinal Offishal.
Method Man was most recently on the charts with a guest appearance on the Mary J. Blige single "Love at First Sight," which reached No. 10 last July on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks tally.

For a single What's Happenin is pretty weak for Meth.
-
well, don't sound bad
-
Did Dre end up producing for the album like Meth talked about.
I love Meth thou & hopefully his much delayed album (hey, it almost became like GNR's Chinese Democracy for a while there lol) will do well & is also a good cd
-
Sounds dope to me. Cant wait.
Thanks for the news.
-
lookin forward to this no doubt, method b sick no doubt.......the 1st single is sick to, and the video is sick
peace!

It's sad to say but this doesn't sound good. It'll probably be worse than Tical 2000.
-
what a shame for all those apperances, it won't be nothin like his first album. shoulda been strictly wu tang and entirely produced by rza.
-
yeah i dunno bout this shit...im a huge meth fan but i tried to make the best of tical 2000 and theres really only a few songs that i felt were dope...and this shit looks worse...too many guests...i already heard 3 of the more commercial tracks and none of them made me want to spend money or even time downloading the shit. i hope meth comes through....

I just saw the video to What's Hapenin a second ago,the shits pretty tight, that song grew on me.I hope he does come dope on this album,I think its gonna be way better than Judgement Day.BTW,that song done by Meth & Red - I Will Not Lose,is that gonna be on meth's new album?
-
i like meth but i dont know what to expect from this album.that joint with missy is pretty horrible imo but hopefully there will be some tite tracks on the cd too.
-
