guess yall were watin for me to make the thread ;D
this is it the climax to our story of bloody revenge.....or is it? I do not want to reveal too much about this but I will say this; do not go to Vol. 2 thinking it's another vol. 1...vague enough? what a film! I'll talk more on it in a couple of days when more have seen it.
4.5/5
-
this is funny, reviews gave it A, everyone, my freind, who loves pulp fction and loves the vol 1, didnt like it, so i dunno, im def seeing it, ill tell u wat i think, personaly i think itll be amazing

Classic

Elle vs The Bride is one bad ass cat fight
-
It was good. If you don't like Quentin Tarrantino, you'll hate it, but if you like his style, this is a great great movie. I can only think of 1 thing that would have made it better, I'll say it later on after most have seen it.
-
loved it,m liked how part 1 is all action, and 2 is just chillin, great movie

haha yea.....possible spolier ahead.....
u like that foreshadowing/pun from the name of the Ch. "Elle and "I" "
-
didnt even notice it until you pointed it out
props :D

The part I think could have been done better is this...
*spoiler
At the end of the first movie, they revealed that the Bride's daughter was still alive. The movie would have been KICK ASS if they didn't, and the whole second movie, you're waiting for her to go in and kill Bill, then she opens the door, and the little girl's pointing the gun at her and calls her mommy like in Vol 2... if we would have found out when she would have found out, it would have been off the scales
-
^Yes^
But it also gave you an extreme surprise at the end of 1 nothing was said after that line its just...WHA!?!?!?!? Either way though it would be just as powerful.
what happened to the scene where Bill throws a knife at someone? I knew of this from the commercials.
there were a few questions left un answered though like (small spoiler);
Sofie Fatale's demise and what happened to nikki, there should have been something signifying the sequel. After vol.2 this is my prediction of his 15 year later sequel:
Elle and Sofie train nikki to kill the bride and possibly B.B...or something along those lines what are your predictions after seeing volume 2 everyone?

Yes...if Kill Bill would have remained as one movie, im pretty sure that part where they reveal that daughter is still alive would not have been in the movie. Hopefully if they ever re-edit to make it one movie....they should do it like that
-
yea, that would have been nice, trauma, but they needed to end vol 1 good, also, why did they beep out her name, what was so special about
spoiler
beatrix kiddo?
-
i have a theory for that^^^
spoiler
In Vol.1, u just know her as THE BRIDE...now basically all she does in Vol.1 is kick so much ass and kill so many peepz shes a fucken monster shes basically in her Black Mamba zone....but in Vol.2 u realize her name plus u see her human side of her...especially in the beggining and in the end.

That was just one of the surprises of the movie, they didn't want anybody to know her name until the end.
-
i liked how they revealed her name. the whole roll call thing.
the one sick part of the movie was when uma thurman squashes elle's eye...that shit creeped me out.
-
Wasn't there supposed to be a black male ninja that The bride fights? I remember watching one of the trailers and seeing a quick clip of a black male in some martial outfit fighting but when I saw Kill Bill 2, he wasn't featured. Does anybody know anything about this or did I just see something that wasn't there?
-
^^^^^^^there werre actually a few pioints in trailers that apparently didnt make it to the film likr Bill throwing a knife at some cat from his sword and some Pai Mei dialogue. it is listed that tarantino plays Pai Mei's english voice but...nothing.
-
finally saw this twice yesterday, which was opening day here in Australia. I loved it, thought it was better then the first.
Only disappointment was there was no GoGo in it except for the credits
loved the 50's/hitchcock kinda of opening credits and music
Elle Vs. The Bride - 2nd best fight of the whole tale of bloody revenge, 1st being GoGo Vs The Bride.
Pai Mei was classic
hope to see this movie at least once more in the cinema.
-
The film is amazing. Taken together with Vol. 1, the whole thing is practically flawless to me.
One question I had was...
Spoiler:
Why didn't she kill Elle? Maybe it's a picky point, but I thought the idea was that she would wipe out each henchman then Bill? I know leaving someone blinded in a trailer in the middle of nowhere (with a poisonous snake no less ;)) is as good as leaving them dead, but I was expecting her to go back and run her through... or at least blow up the trailer or something. Anyone else notice it?
-
I think she left the snake to take care of Elle because Beatrix's codename as an assassin was Black Mamba and the snake was a Black Mamba. But then again, Elle had her mobile, so she easily could of rang someone to come and help her but she still would never be a threat to anyone again.
-
I don't think the Bride knew there was a Black Mamba in the trailer, though. She wasn't there when that happened.
-
When the Bride is leaving the trailer she looks right at the Black Mamba and it hisses
she definently sees it, you see it from her P.O.V.
-
Great movie, absolutely worth the wait. Pai Mei was dope as hell! His attitude, his fighting, how he flips his beard every once in a while - dizzope! Had me cracking up and hyped up at the same time. That Esteban dude was also dope - one smooth, slick muthafucka that one.
The scene where B.B. wants to watch Shogun Assasin before bedtime was funny as fuck! ;D
And I have to add, that although it was a very small role, Samuel L. Jackson really gave a life to his character. I also loved how they shot that scene with him talking - him from the back at the edge of the screen withhim blowing the smoke...
-
^He shot you in the head? I just would have cut your lips!- Pimp Esteban^
-
very very dissapointing,THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NO BB,i think i have to see it agfain and i might like it more
-
no BB?! So just have the cliffhanger at the end of VOl.1 and in vol.2 dont even mention the daughter?! Thats kinda off. I though Ch.10 was a very emotional Chapter that worked well for the ending.
-
great movie.
-
the little black daughter of one of the ladies killed in vol.1 is def going to fuck with uma in the 15 year later sequel, no question
worst tarantino movie imo
-
Just saw it at theatre.. my thoughts..
disliked :
-how it was elle who killed budd instead of Beatrice.. kind of a bit disapointing, I was expecting her to kill all of them, even if the snake was a black mamba.
-I kinda would've liked a bit of a bigger part for Bill, info or somethin, anythin..
-Bill's death was a bit fast lol, pretty sweet actually, but kind of quick.
Besides that, I liked it alot!

if u wanan say that then your also pissed that she didnt kill Elle, I mean how are your sure she did, dhe just left her there.
Bill having a bigger part, he served almost asa second narrator at parts, Bill's role was playeed splendedly
-
Well, his part was good I guess..
Im not pissed that she didnt kill elle, since she pretty much did by blinding her and leavin her with the snake, doesnt matter what anyone says, she's pretty much as good as dead, if not, fucked for life.
Anyways, movie is fucking awesome, I kind of liked the 1st better though.
-
she didnt kill Elle because Elle and Sophie will be in the sequel
ps: everybody who thinks Elle is dead is a moron. if one bad guy/girl in a movie doesnt 100%ly die (and sometimes even if) he's not dead.

Thank you thank you thank you! I'm glad you too see my link with the 15 year later sequel with Nikita, Sophie, and Elle

i don't think there will be a vol3. but i loved this film especially when she got burried alive it made me feal really closterphobic that scene was superbly put together although i didn't like her escape i don't think it would be possible to get thru the earth and when she broke the coffin it would all cave in on her aking it even harder to move
