Here is some news you guys might enjoy:
Star Trak is now distributed by Interscope, which most of you guys knew already, but here are the first 2 releases on our new deal:
Star Trak/Doggystyle will release a new Snoop album this summer yet to be titled.
-
would be tight
-
I was 'bout to say......What the fuck is stak trak records?
-
this album would end it for me
-
DOPE!
I really like the Snoop/Neptunes collabos we have heard so far...
It Blows My Mind was the best Snoop track in years.
-
please god.... NO!!!!
Why wouldnt it be aftermath/doggystyle/interscope? this is bullshit
-
Star Trak = The Neptunes.
Sounds like BS to me.
-
Mmmmm! Sounds terrible! ;D
-
I'll wait till I hear it...
That track snoop did for their star trak album was tigh IMO...
Imagine a whole record like that... It'd be hot!
-
sounds like BS to me..
-
Thats fucked up...
-
NOOOOOOOOOO.. I can see this happening, but i fuckin dont hope on it.. ::)
-
i thought snoops next album was gonna be produced by p diddy meaning it would be a bad boy/doggystyle collabo.
-
damn...i like snoop but i can only take the neptunes in small doses
-
this is coming from a snoop fan
man fuck snoop
i dont like snoop/neptunes collabos basically there shit id rather here dre and snoop warren and snoop shit even snoop over a soopafly or battlecat beat
-
Snoop used to be my favourite rapper and pretty much got me into to hip-hop. It's pretty sad how little I care about him now.
-
Why would he release an album on Star Trak when he has his own damn label?
-
Why would he release an album on Star Trak when he has his own damn label?
Uhh I'm just guessing here but maybe it has something to do with the fact that the neptunes are popular as f*ck..... This is his chance of having a bunch of neptunes productions on the same album, and sell like sh*t (in a sellout way..)..
-
I'm goin' outon a limb here, but I figured out something positive about this - if this IS happening, that is. Since Star Trakis distributed by Interscope, there shouldn't be much trouble in getting Dre doing a beat on there... Hopefully Snoop does hook up with Dre this time, it was just plain dumbthat he didn't for his last album considering what great chemistry the two have.
-
I'll admit it: "Chronic" was dope, and "From The Chuuch To The Palace" and "Beautiful" were decent. However, if it drop on Star Trak hopefully the Neptunes only do a few tracs, and he actually has producers like Battlecat, Warren G, Dre, Daz, etc. doin' the rest. But with Snoop it's doubtful.
-
meh... who cares which label he releases with? Top Dogg came out on No Limit, but their influence on the album was miminal. That album had a lot of westcoast production, am I wrong?
-
"Snoopafly", executive produced by P.Diddy and released on Neptunes label..
Means that there's a good chance of getting Snoop's recent collaborators Loon(Bad Boy), Justin Timberlake (Nep toon), etc. on the album.. this just gets better and better.
-
maybe it will be an album with all the Neptunes produced snoop tracks
How many Licks Remix
Beautiful
From Tha Chuch To Tha Palace
Im Loving It (Remix)
and maybe it will be an EP I doubt there will be some new Snoop material when there is 213 on the way...and think about it....Maybe Jimmy is behind all this
-
First off, From the Chuuch to the Palace was wack. Secondly Me and Snoop got a love hate relationship going. He shows flashes of his old self on his mixtapes occasionaly, but his albums suck. I thought this was a west coast forum, so why we talkin about snoop. Aint he from the east coast? He's supposed to be king of the west coast, but he cant produce an album unless diddy or neptunes are doing it. I know he tryna sell, but damn. I mean, the neptunes is cool, they got skills. BUt if ya boy cant sell with all this westcoast talent, than that has to say alot about Big snoop. And the neptunes are a hit and miss with snoop. I mean, the overall public wasnt feelin chuuch/palace and if it wasnt for beutiful, snoop proly wouldnt even have pushed plat. I wont even talk about that "snoop dogg" bullshit. When was the last time you heard that on the radio. Does he even perform that at his own concerts? Ill give it to him on that welcome to atlanta remix tho.

Damn it Snoop what the fuck is wrong wit you, I think the Neptunes brainwashed you!!
-
why is snoop always on the tail end of the hottest label at the moment? (i know star trak isn't exactly the 'hottest label at the moment, but you understand what i'm saying...) remember his deal with no limit? what a frontrunner....
-
coz they aint afraid to invest or take risk.. established things settle and lose their edge
-
why is this thread in the west coast section...new rule...all new snoop threads should be in outbound 8)
-
yooo the netpunes hatin is gettin kinda old y'all, face it man, they got skillz, u heard the shit they done for jadakiss?.....and theyve made plenty of sick joints.......but id rather see a dogystyle/interscope then with star trak......but i dont give a fuck what label it comes out on, what producers are on it, asliong as its a sick album..........but i def want dre n snoop to work together on it....i think theres still drama between the couple
-

wanker
-
why were u on hte star trak message board? jk lol
any way i am very dissipionted if this is true the album could probably come out decent, but wouldn't have a chance if being what i want from a snoop album
-
i honestly believe snoop should've made doggystyle records a sub-label of aftermath or even merged with them after he left no limit...oh well. more snoop and neptunes for me to not listen to

Word. I think Snoop should fold Doggystyle up and sign with another label. Even a one album deal with Aftermath would be the best choice for Snoop IMO, even tho it will never happen. Doggystyle records is some bullshit IMO. They have some talent, but Snoop has proven he cant handle his own fame and his own label at the same time. I think Snoop and Dre both need to swallow their pride and start working together again because Im sick of hearing Snoop rap on everyone elses shit except Dre's, and at the same time, Im sick oh hearing Dre beats givin to 50 G Unit and Eminem. I just dont understand why these 2 dont work together anymore. People say its all about the money, but at the same time I think Snoop and Dre would make even more money if they just made an album together.
-
Doesn't matter what label its on, here is how it will be. 75% will very wack, or pretty wack. Probably 3 dope songs on the album, and probably 2 or 3 decent songs. I'm sure at least one battlecat song, and those usually end up good. I'm sure at least one fred wreck song, and that one will probably be dope. Then I would say he either has one or two more produced by a westcoast producer. If the neptunes make a beat as good as Blown, then that will be good. I'm sure he will have a lil jon beat on there, and I'm sure I won't like it.
You know its gonna be chock full of guests. I'd expect 15-20 guests on the album, most wack, and some few dope apperances. I hope the dope beats don't get ruined by wack guests, and vice versa. Overall, I'm thinking the album is gonna suck, and may be in his top 3 worst albums ever.
-
Anyone remember the good ol' days on this board when everyone would pull their hair out when they would hear rumors of a Snoop/Neptunes callabo?
-
Snoop himself said he didn't want to many guests on it,I hope that he'll stick to that. And let's hope those few guests won't be exactly who we DON'T wanna here on there... :-\
I do have this strange feeling this album might surprise us,but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
-
What we need is an all time Westcoast Reunion album with Dre, Snoop, Kurupt (from Death Row) Nate, Daz, Cube, & Sneed all together again!!!! Now that's Hot
And the Star Track album - it aint had work yet so dont bet on it just yet folks
