I started this so everyone can describe the sound system thats in their car. I have an Alpine receiver, Rockford fosgate tweeters and 6 and a halfs in the back. In the trunk i have 2 twelve inch Diamond subwoofers in a sealed box and a 1000W Kenwood Excelon amplifier. We were my cousin and I hooked it up in less than 2 min after testing the system the neighbor across the street complained the her windows were vibrating. I was quite happy to hear that. I have all this in an 87' Mustang Convertible

2 Kicker 12" S12L7 Solo Barics
1200.1 (1 OHM stable) Kicker Amp
Custom built bandpass box
Forgot what was in the doors....
The first week I installed the speakers, I hit a 143.4 in an SPL competition. They've been broken in since then, so I have no clue as to what I'd hit now.
The entire system is worth over $2000... I paid $600 for it, all brand new off of Ebay. $200 for the speakers, $400 for the amp.

i didnt go for an all out bass monster.. since i wanted to be able to get the spare out, and i have to carry stuff in the boot (trunk :P) quite a lot...
clarion mp3 headunit / alpine 4 channel amp bridged to 2 chans / 2 x 8" rockford fosgate punch subs. (150 watts RMS, 300w pmpo)
not sure if the components in my car have been changed, prob not.. so thats all stock.. which is door pods and dash mounted mids up front, and the rear passengers (its a 3 door tho) have some pods and some tweeters.
amps and subs are in a custom (sealed) enclosure i made behind the rear seats. lose little boot space.. sounds nice in the car, and thats all i care about :)
pics of my car here, no ice pics tho... http://overseer.rollinondubs.net/Golf%20GTI%2016v/
