If I didn't have shit to do in some bullshit 2nd world country, I'd probably be pretty damn good at throwing a ball through a hole, too. It's kind of fucking simple.
-
The only stars you got on that list are Tim Duncan and Tony Parker (at times)...Parker isn't really an all out star yet, because he has a lot of off games...Kobe, Garnet, McGrady, Shaq, Kidd, Iverson, B. Davis, J. O'Neal, Artest, Wallace, LeBron, Carmello, Marbury, etc. etc. etc....Wow, they're all American!
-
BTW, Tim Duncan isn't a foreigner.
-
technically he is...
-
I wouldn't really consider someone from St. Croix a foreigner...That's why they call it the U.S. Virgin Islands...PeACe
-
it's an american league and an american game. yet we got very good foreigners in the nba. suprisingly, the authorities dig that. but the population somehow doesnt, what a shame :D

I just said I wouldn't consider him a foreigner...In that case, Rick Fox is a foreigner too, because he's from Canada, but nobody really considers him a foreign player...LOL

This board is all about opinions, smart guy...Have you ever heard an analyst or announcer consider Rick Fox or Tim Duncan a foreign player? In my opinion, Fox and Duncan aren't really foreign players, seeing that the NBA even has Canadian teams...Toby, are you retarded?
-
I realise there's opinions, but the NBA DO consider Duncan an international player, for example during the All Star game, they had a list of international players... one being Tim Duncan. You have to get over this whole 'im better than everyone else' thing u got going on...
You giving an opinion is fine, but when we are talking about something that is FACT an opinion isnt always necessary. Explaining what u ment was not necessary, as my other post implied, of course Duncan is less 'international' or 'foreign' than others, but TECHNICALLY they are...
-
What's your point? I said what I had to say, and I'd say it again if I had the chance...It is an opinion whether you consider someone a foreign player from the same continent. How can Rick Fox even be considered a foreign player, when we have Canadian teams in our league? Would he be foreign if he was playing for Toronto?...I don't even see your argument here, these are just my views.
-
the authorities dig the influence of international players in the NBA big time, prolly cause it makes the league look like a "world league" that is superior to other basketball leagues, like the german league for example, which is actually the case lol. therefore they deal wit every canadian player and duncan like if they where from asia or europe. it's all good though.
-
Even w/ the Canadian teams, it's still an American Ball League, so yeah, they are foreigners.
It's nice to see more guys from all over the world playing in the NBA.
Haha@ the dream team comment, thas true!!

NBA wants to expand their fan base worldwide.
They want every1 buying NBA merchandise and they want to sell gazillion dollar tv contracts to China/Germany etc...
Kinda like Japan following the Seattle Mariners because of Ichiro Suzuki.

^^^good point

Check out Houston Rocket website they got two versions of Chinese text.
Not to mention Houston went back to the red uniforms when they got Yao Ming that look very similar to the Chinese National Basketball jersey making it easier for the Chinese fans.
