Andy Kaufman died 20 years ago, of Lung Cancer. His long-time friend and manager says Andy told him before that if 'he was faking', he would return 20 years later, to the day.
Andy notoriously pulled all kinds of crazy stunts and acts where people never knew if he was faking or not. They made the movie "Man on the Moon" (and the song) about Him, with Jim Carrey if you've seen it.
The guy is going to take out 100 ads in newspapers across the country, to remind Andy of what he said (if he's faking his death). The party is also supposed to have a performance by Tony Clifton, a character Andy dressed up as and sang lounge songs as in Las vegas, lol.
