i need some hip hop albums that have no swearing and very little questionable content...and arent wack...so give me any suggestions. so far the only one i have that i know i can have playing at work is my best of pete rock & CL Smooth cd...i would prefer stuff like that that is more actual hip hop...no poppy crap. oh and i guess i can play my blackstar album here as well...what other suggestions do u guys have?

last emperor
Roots
Little Brother doesnt really curse?
-
HA! GOOD FUCKING LUCK! Been there, Done That. Rappers generally aren't creative enough to rap without cussing. Get some older De La Soul albums... get Beastie Boys albums... Common prob. didn't cuss much on his last one... get Talib Kweli, etc. You're gonna have to stick with guys like that, positive rap, or it ain't happenin'. Almost everything anymore is non stop bullshit.

Rakim's first album back in the late 90s was pretty good, and I don't think he sweared at all on it.
-
mad props to mousehowl...im gonna peep every one of those
little brother actually does curse more than you'd think...i didnt think so really at first either but they curse more than i would wanna play at work.
last emperor would probably be perfect...didnt think of that props.
trauma the older de la soul is good...i dont think i'd wanna play common's last album in the store...i like it but it would probably make customers wanna leave...and his old stuff curses a lot...the only talib kweli i can play is blackstar but i will definetely be rockin that one.
and yeah im gonna make a good mix of rakim stuff that doesnt swear...that'd be perfect. thanks
anymore suggestions

yeah, roscoe really doessn't swear on the album. Eazy E tried doin the same thing on his album, but he accidentally slipped a couple of times, but it is still very appropriate for any workplace.

lord finesse funky technician
-
gza - legend of a liquid sword
-
kool g rap - road to riches... his first album...he rarely curses on it that much. i havnt listened to it in a month or so i may be wrong but im pretty sure he dont.
jurassic 5 - quality control
-
if your stuck there is always Will Smith's catalogue... ;D
-
Luke - Roscoe's alnum genuinely doesn't have any cursing on it all, other than Kokane saying "niggero" on the hook of his track. Apart from that there's nothing.
And as for Eazy-E trying to make an album that has no cursing but slipping up - I hope that's a joke ;)

WHy dont u just download the radio edit? and u should just get a bunch of Instrumentals,... nobody will complain, and they are chillin as fuck...
-
Eazy-E - It's On
WOOORRRRRD, also "Season Of Da Siccness", "Gory Days", "Movies For The Blind" and "Livestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous"...
Seriously, most of what i could think of has been mentioned already. Two classics:
RUN-DMC - RUN-DMC
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full
Then "Soul Food" by the Goodie Mob is an album with no "I'll fuck yo ass up and rape ur bitch"-type lyrics, very little cussin (no parental advisory sticker), but pretty strong pro-black messages
The Blackstar album ain't bad either...anything by them basically
The Roots albums are not too explicit either, but they do contain sum cussin
-
Public Enemy
Run-DMC
Big Daddy Kane
Eric B & Rakim
Beastie Boys
-
Any M.O.P. album
:P

^^^ totally...theres nothing like "We'll run you down, MO-Ps hunt ya down, Gun ya down, guns sing like blaow" to say "hello sir, would you like to buy a cell phone?"

lmao..."bukka bukka bu bukka bukka blaow!!!"

WHy dont u just download the radio edit?
... because the radio edits aren't edited for decency, they're edited for legality.
In other words, a song that says
"Suck my ...."
Means the same thing as a song that says
"Suck my Dick"
They're both offensive. Legally, though, it's legal to say "Suck My...." on the radio. So an edited version you still can't play around people who would be offended by the non-edited version.

buy some clean versions :)
or use headphones?

Yeah Roscoe don't cuss. But he says stuff like "cut off your arm to get to the watch quicker."
Jurassic 5 is cool
LL Cool J doesn't cuss, but I don't really care for his material, so I dunno about it that much.
