Aw, look, they're already fighting.
Sony held a press conference the first day of E3, and said they had an incredible 99 developers signed on to work on games for the amazing new PSP handheld device.
The next day, Nintendo, at their press conference, announces that they have 100 developers currently developing games for the Nintendo DS.
LOL
Anyways, both systems look great, here's some pictures of the Nintendo games coming up. wow.

I don't see either one really taking off. The graphics look great and all but I don't think there is a market for three hand helds. The original Gameboy, or whatever verson they have now will be on top for a long time. People have a hard time taking in new things, particularly when those new things cost more. Besides, hi res games never really work on small screens.

I wasn't interested in either of these machines at all, but 4 player super mario 64!!! Shit, i'll be buying four myself just to make sure i can play it with my mates. And that new mario game looks sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

^ You don't even HAVE to buy 4 carts anymore... Nintendo's got a new thing, where you can wirelessly play head-to head, and you actually download a portion of the game to your own DS so you only need 1 game for 4 people to play, even with no wires. CRAZY SHIT.

i expect the nintendo to do well due to its name soley. i know alot of people who own Gameboy sp's. and since the DS willl be backwards compatible i cant guaranntee they will get the ds
but people new to the whole handheld (me including) will have an actual choice. i expect it to be the same type of thing for the cube ps2 rivalry.
people who prefer there ps2 will probably buy a psp. if i had a choice and was gonna buy one id get the psp. im not into all that mario samsus star fox shit.
i xpect sony to release mature type games simalir to the ps2

people say they dont like nintendo because the games are not "mature".....those people are stupid I've noticed I've had wayyyy more fun playing nintendo than a sony system. Fuck a mature game, give me a fun game.

i dunno i like em both but if i had to choose id take the ps2 over the cube. but i will say
no system will ever match the n64. Mario 64 was one of the best games ever made (sunshine was ok nothing special)
Ocarina of Time was in my opinion is in the top 3 of top games of all time majoras mask was awesome too.
then there was the original mario party that game is awesome with 4 people.

So what you've said both times as examples of mature games is that you kill people in them. Realistically. So you think it is mature for people to go around killing people instead of having talks on how to resolve disputes? Sounds like someone who's mature to me.

Music is the same. You're observing, learning, listening, paying attention to something. There's nothing immature about that.
Of course, you can be immature and still watch a movie or listen to music. They have nothing to do with each other.
You can't say a GAME is "MATURE", though, because games are for children. Children by nature aren't mature. The concept of maturity gets it's definition by it's contrast against the actions of children, which include videogames.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with enjoying games, but it's not 'mature' to enjoy games. Not everything we do has to be mature, though... which is why a 'mature' game is not only an oxymoronic phrase, it's not even a necessary qualifier... there's nothing wrong with playing immature games.

and just like everything else, ther'es KIDS games, KIDS movies, KIDS music, KIDS meals.... guess those are all immature too

i dont really consider myself a kid, but i enjoy a video game or two.
i dont play that many video games.
