...but I'm pretty damn sure it'll flop miserably anyway. Check this article for a preview of the machine.

If you can't sit still to read all the way through, read under the heading "The Price" on page 2. I'm sure you'll understand why I think it'll flop. Of course you still have to make new innovations, but that kinda service is doomed, if you ask me. That kinda shit would take a hella long time to set up all around the world. X-Box Live sure took its sweet time making itself availible in Europe, how long would a service like that of the Phantom take to set up? Cause X-Box Live is just a mean for players to establish a connection with each other, this shit would be a kind of "game delivery service" on top of that.
Plus, is just basically a PC you plug into a TV. So while there will be a large library of games, there's nothing new or innovative about the technology.

Are they fucking joking? No dumb bastard will pay $30 a month to play video games. As for $199, it honestly sounds reasonable...as long as the graphics card is sufficient and new.

no its the dumbest fucking idea ever
Do you know how fast computer technology changes?
its not like a console where the game is designed for a specific system so they know the exact specs
computer games are made to push the limits (Far Cry, Doom3, Half life 2???)
this wont succeed. i can guarantee that.

30 a month is steep but it sounds good for People who enjoy PC games. PC gamers will probably pass this up but people who are new to PC gaming will most likely scoop it up, it soudns like the rebirth of sega channel...we'll just have to see it when it dropsd
