Im gonna review Twista's ADRENALINE RUSH for a change of pace.
RELEASE DATE: June 24, 1997
Track 1: Introduction 2:04 - All intros suck...
Track 2: Adrenaline Rush- Tight beat..amazing Twista flow. 3:43
****
Track 3: Death Before Dishonor -Good joint, once again-Twista's quick rhyming is really amazing. 4:23
***.25
Track 4: Feels so Good - Strictly for the ladies. It's a dope song, but Twista tends to put on too many sex songs on his albums. Good for what it is. 6:08
***.5
Track 5: Overdose -Probably the only song on the album that I really don't care for. Dark beat and dark lyrics and lacks the fun of other Twista tracks. Twista still has an ill flow, but thats about the only positive I can say for this track. 4:16
**
Track 6: Mobster's Anthem featuring The Speedknot Mobstaz - Uh oh..Twista and co. rhyme over an interpolation of "Aint Nothin But a G Thang". But they do the song proud. It would be better if it was just Twista, but oh well. 5:07
****
Track 7: Get Her in the Mood - Funny skit about a girl trying out to be the girl who moans in the song "Emotions" 1:29
Track 8: Emotions - DOPE!! Twista's flow and word play is sick as usual and it has a nice chorus as well. Classic Twista. 4:32
****.5
Track 9: Unsolved Mystery - Mediocre track. Rather boring for a Twista song. 4:45
**.5
Track 10: Korrupt World - Really funky beat. Not necessarily good, just different. The song is a little above average but is nothing to right home about. 5:40
***
Track 11: Get It Wet w/ Miss Kane - Once again, Twista shows he's the master of the sex tracks. Tight beat, Twista's ill flow, and an infectious chorus and you have a classic. 4:03
*****
Track 12: No Remorse - Amazing track. Hard lyrics and Twista sounds tight as fuck rhyming/singing the chorus. Great Twista material. 4:32
****.5
Track 13: Emotions (REMIX) - A good song, but not really needed. Its better than most songs on the album, but the original song is still better. Still good for 3.5 stars. 4:49
***.5
-----------------------------------------------
Well this album is nearly 5 years old and was Twista's debut. Since this album, Twista has improved his game and I can't wait till he makes it to the big time. Regardless- This is a good CD and I say its a solid ***.5 overall.

I just really started listening to Twista in the past few months and I bought this album because his flow is just plain SICK. I'm really feeling this album. I give it a 4/5 or 4.5/5.

I'm thinkin' of copping that album. Does Twista have a lot of solo tracks on that album or is it a group effort throughout the album? Twista is the motherfuckin' shit but I ain't feelin' the other two that much. I might just cop it anyways. I can't wait 'til Twista's new solo album drops because he hasn't dropped a solo album since Adrenaline Rush.
