Title: Detroit Hip Hop Bites Toronto's Style
Post by: Suga Foot on June 21, 2004, 11:59:49 AM
I'm not saying all Detroit artists do this, but some.  I've kind of noticed it before, but since hearing Mr. Porter's production on Method Man and D12's albums, I've realized that it sounds VERY similar to Saukrates' and Kardinal's production.  Frank N Dank also sound like Toronto artisits.  I can't put my finger on what exactly it is, but I've noticed a lot of Toronto biting lately.

Or maybe it's...

a) A coincidence
b) Being influenced by the same artists and/or each other

It's not always automatically biting if some people's production styles sound similar.
