Mo money, mo problems huh? Biggie was on to something there. Eminem has another legal issue on his hands. Although, word is that this situation is by no means a new one. It seems that Dido, the British singer who leant her vocals to “Stan,” feels she is owed more money.

Word is this battle has been going on since “The Marshall Mathers LP” dropped in 2000. Dido is after approximately $1.8 million for the sample of her voice taken from her hit “Thank You.”

Of course, it wasn’t until the success of “Stan” that Dido’s album took off, going on the sell 12 million copies. Biting the hand that feeds you methinks!

At least some. Dido is pretty good at what she does, but she sure wouldn't be as popular as she is if it weren't for Stan.

damn i thought she was cool with this, she toured live with em n stuff.. and gave him props.. said how he's a nice guy an shit...

however.. she did say all she got from aftermath/interscope at the time was a not saying "hey we've used a sample of your song hope you like it"

sounds more like its her management/publisher or something?

I didn't like Dido as an artist, but now I also don't have respect for her anymore.

She probably did get screwed over out of some money by Em, but when it comes down to it, her album did extremely well all because of that Sample, in my opinion.  I'd never heard of her before that and I think the album had been out a full year by then.  As soon as "Stan" came out, she blew up.  If I were her, I'd chalk it up to the cost of being famous and just let the debt die.
