Petty criminals are not renowned for their intelligence, but a Los Angeles man has notched up a new low in the criminal hall of fame.
The carjacker had just made off with a stolen car - with the female passenger still inside - when he decided to ditch the vehicle and grab a different model.
The bumbling felon opted for a minibus parked in a petrol station. Unfortunately, the bus was carrying an entire judo team on a sightseeing tour of Hollywood.
Needless to say, the suspect was 'restrained' by the team until the police arrived.
The group had been teaching self-defence and were returning to Florida when their paths crossed with the alleged hijacker.
Police later named the suspect as Tyrone Jermaine Hogan, 20
