Title: Hajj Ibrahim's Lloyd Banks review:
Post by: infinite59 on June 27, 2004, 04:51:35 PM
(Out of 5)

Artist delivery, flow: 5

Rhyme scheme, metaphors: 5

Beats, production:  5

Subject matter, content: 0

^^^^ Basically, that tells the story.  Banks only works with the most talented cats in the industry so you know this is a top quality product.  It also features top-notch guest appearances (see The Game).  Still, the subject matter was so predictable and uninteresting the album falls short of spectacular.  Bitches, blunts, money, sex and violence----that's it.  That is all, it doesn't even offer any deeper introspection into those subjects, nor is it blatant and shocking, as in Dre's first Chronic album.  This is sex, money and violence, delivered in the most boring and predictable format.  Totally played out.  That's the whole album.

Muslim, Jewish, Christian. His album is wack. I don't even think God could help him on this one.

Solid album IMO.  Beats and rhymes were both tight, seems to have good replay value (so far).  i"Till the end" is classic shit.
