It's a Death Row track from a couple years back, it disses Bad Boy. It circulates the net as 2Pac & Snoop - Goin Back To Cali, but it ain't them. Pac has a spoken word bit in the beginning where he shoots a gun, but he doesn't rap. The chorus samples Biggies Goin Back To Cali and it goes: They say they comin back (to cali, to cali)/ but they ain't comin back (to cali, to cali)/ they say they comin back (to cali, to cali)/ (GUNSHOTS) I don't think so" Who is the guys who raps on the song?
Anybody know what I'm talkin about from my less than clear explanation? :)

Y.G.D. The Top Dawg aka Top Dogg - Going Back To Cali
btw its on the very first re-release of the gang related sdtk. a few copies got that cut as a bonustrack.
its also on a 12" promo vinyl.

yeah that one.. it was on the first version of the "gang related" soundtrack (as was another track by chocolate bandit) and was removed.. i'm not sure how many copies went out with it on, but its pretty rare. (havent managed to get it for myself yet)
the track was also put out on 12", and the b-side was another YGD track called "Me and My Boyz" which so far I think is the best track we've heard from YGD.
YGD is the same guy that did that "cindafella" track to kinda diss/copy snoop as snoop also covered dana dane's "cindafella" (but snoop called it snoopafella). cindafella was on death row's chronic 2000 compilation.

nah seer. it wasnt on the "very first version" of that sdtk. in 1997 death row released it again with these two bonus cuts. the canceled the BGOTI track on the second disc. the other track next to top dogg´s cut was chocolate bandit " wutz the deal" btw. but damn that sdtk is damn hard to find. some copies dont have the tracknames on the backcover. but i ve heard (never seen) that there copies out there with both tracks written on the backcover. still need that item. :-\

^^There's also 2 versions of that song. There's one that was on the radio called the "Promo" version, which is titer IMO but edited. Then there's the album version, with different verses that isn't as tite.

nah it wasnt the same deal. the B.G.O.T.I. track on disc2 was pulled from that disc. dunno why. no track from disc 1 was pulled cuz of the bonus cuts. (thats what i´ve heard, like i said before, i dont have that re-release, cant find it >:( :( )
there are 2 covers yea but the re-release has the normal cover. only the UK version got a different cover. a colored one.

Can you hook me up with that promo version? I have the album where it's on, so I don't need that one.
