no, it's just you...

sumtimes i think sum people are bein pessimistic for the sake of bein pessimistic. actually this year ain't been that bad, and it seems like sum albums that are still droppin could be really dope. of course there's been disappointments , but 'real hiphop' was never gone completely and it don't seem like it's about to happen
-
yeah, this year could be a good one...at least the second half of the year looks better than the first. i have high hopes for the albums you listed, as well as the new Nas...
-
there`s no such thing as real hip-hop or fake hip hop
-
wtf? this has been one of the worst years ever. bambaataa, kurtis blow, and the furious five(grandmaster), wouldn't appreciate you seperating something they worked so hard for into categories, either. only backpacking nerds do that.

I agree - all the artists listed at the top are dope and most of those albums will hopefully be great, but they're no 'realer' than other rappers who worked just as hard to put product out. They're less mainstream though - maybe that's what WFTDJ's talking about...?

All of those artists I listed will most probably bring straight hiphop, and dope albums. You won't see any shitty club aimed singles, and then albums full of filler from any of those artists. So far this year has been poor, I'm thinking these guys are gonna bring pure hiphop back into the public consciousness.

i somewhat agree with you, but u heard that talib kweli song off his advance, "we got the beat" ... thats a sad atempt at a radio single

I think it's been a great year so far. We have good albums from Kanye, Royce, Ghostface, Masta Killa, Murs, Brother Ali, Cee-Lo & Lloyd Banks. I'm probably forgetting one or two also, I'm happy with 8-10 good albums in half a year.
-
What the hell is "the real hiphop"?
Hip hop is hip hop, no need to separate it by degrees of "realness".
-
Every year people say 'the second half looks pretty promising', but it never happens.
Just like 'this year' Death Row are coming back... etc
-
What about Masta Killa...his album was pretty raw/hardcore!~~ Cmon give him props!
-
I'm anticipating this shit.
-
no, it's just you...
I'm not a big Hip-Hop fan myself...very few actual "hip-hop" tracks I like...

I guess, if that's what you call "real" hip hop. Everyone has their own deifinition.
