with his production for Westside Connection's "Gangsta Nations", did Fred "borrow" the melody from "The Truth" by Beanie Sigel or The Rascalz' "Where You At (Feat. KRS ONE)"???? I tend to think he took it from the Rascalz, because they're relatively unknown. But when i heard this song a few days ago, i was like "Whoa, this sounds just like gangsta nations. "Global Warning" is a dope album by the way.

or maybe they all sample another older song ?
-
Maybe, but i don't think so. Simply because the beat is too repetitive and simple to be a sample from an older song. Maybe it was an even older rap song, but i doubt it's a non hip-hop record.

You do know that credits for both Beanie's CD's, Westside Connections CD's, AND that Raskalz CD is in the Vault right.. ?
Neither Beanie's or WC's CD's mentions samples for these tracks, but the Raskalz CD doesn't have the samples credited if there is some..
I gotta tell em time and time again what a resource The Vault is.. (http://www.computerpannen.com/cwm/cwm/3dlil/nonono2.gif)

That was the first thing I thought when I head Gangsta Nation. I thought "damn, this sounds a lot like the Truth by beanie segal".

"Top Of The World" is a classic song.
Fit and Red 1 are both working on solo projects atm (if anyone cares)
