my question is what amplifier do i need to get to power these. Now i dont wanna be spending alot of money but i wanna be able to power these. What brand is the best and what kind of amp specs am i looking for.
-
a nice 400 or 600 watt amp should power them good. it all matters what brand name it is. If you get a cheap Amp and it says 400 watts it is really lower.
-
just curious how do you know?
do you multiply the contiuous wattage of the sub and then multiply it by how many subs you got? (i.e. 125x2)
and just for the 2 subs i only need a mono amp right?
-
you actually look at the RMS of the sub. It should say somewhere. Take the Amp Power and divide by two. And compare to each sub.
A 600 Watt Amp should be plenty. You don't wan't to overpower or underpower the sub too much.
A mono Amp is meant to Power ONE sub..But you can make it work..
