ETC, ETC
Nas and Kelis have recorded a track, "Getting Married" (gag!) for Nas' forthcoming Streets Disciple (didn't anyone learn anything from Gigli?).
...
One of the more bandied about rumors in the underground circuit as of late, centers around a rumored Nas/Immortal Technique collaboration with Pete Rock lacing the beat; we'll we can tell you that rumor is just that, as we've been told there is not a collaboration in the works.....

Im actually a little skeptical about the Nas album y'all. Thief's theme is very average to me, as is You DOnt Know My Style. At least Az is gonna be on a track; in fact, i am sure nas will not disappoint, he came dope with Stillmatic and Gods Son, hope this is no different. And his song with Kelis on his last album wasnt that bad (Hey Nas).....
-
Get that bitch Kelis off there and hook up with Immortal Technique. See what pussy does to people?
-
nas and immortal would have been sick, but this album will still be dope
-
I can't believe people actually thought that Nas/Tech/P.R. track was true. I thought it was common knowledge that Pete Rock and Nas don't get along.
-
I'm probably not even gonna peep this, I'm fed up of buying Nas albums to hear him shine on a couple of tracks and then go through the motions on the rest.

Which albums are you talking about? His last three are all excellent with next to no filler. Or are you refering to the '99 albums?

Both Stillmatic & God Son had filler..
Couldn't listen to God Son for more than 5 days, I'd sell it for cheap.. :(
I think Stillmatic was hyped to death, people was expecting a classic when they heard Ether and Got urself a gun, and when Jigga dropped Blueprint, people was almost demanding a classic.

I guess you're just not a Nas fan.
"Braveheart Party" is the only song I wouldn't have put on Stillmatic and that CD had plenty of banger from the "Stillmatic (Intro)" to "One Mic" to "2nd Childhood" to "What Goes Around" and pretty much everything was great, lyrics and beats.
The only songs on God's Son I would have cut would be "Zone Out" and "Hey Nas". The Lost Tapes was just flawless, I wouldn't change one thing about it.

I popped God's Son in the other weekend and listened to it front to back. Seriously, zone out was the only song i don't like. Tracks like "made you look", "heaven", "revolutionary warfare", shit I could go on and on. I also thought the concept on book of rhymes was tight. It definetly could have used a primo track, but I think it was a great album. Street's disciple might be my most anticipated album this year (its about the only one i actually see being released.)

Zone Out has one of the shittiest beats that I've ever heard. As for the Nas/Kelis track, the title sucks, but I'll wait until I hear it before saying it blows.

They were both alright on first listens, but they weren't anything special, they were both good, but not what I would expect from someone as dope as Nas can be. He's never fully reached his potential.

Word. That beat was just horrible for Zone Out.

lost tapes was amazing, stillmatic was pretty damn good, and gods son wasnt bad, but i wasnt feelin every track that much
