how many of u fools have seen this movie. this shit is tight as fuck. just picked up the dvd the other day at rasputins. definitely the best hip hop dvd ever made besides up in smoke tour (also thug angel, but show is still better)... the soundtrack was sick as fuck too, featured Dove Shack - summertime in LBC, 2pac - my block, bone thugs- eveyrday thang, and more.. anyways the dvd mainly focuses on notorious b.i.g., snoop and the dogg pound, warren g, run dmc, wu tang clan
it has TONS AND TONS of old school footage
tons of footage with warren g, focuses on Da 5 Footaz as well, and The Twinz.. follows them around tour, drama between The Twins, drama between Warren G and Da 5 Footaz.. shows the twinz playin ceelo, shows warren g at burger king ordering 200$ worth of food haha, at the radio station and record stores doin interviews and shit, da 5 footaz getto burnin their braids... tons more
there is also plenty of footage of old school Dogg Pound.. back when kurupt was only 21. he looks fucking young in this movie.. there is lots and lots of stage performance footage with snoop, daz and kurupt performing a bunch of old school dogg food tracks and shit. shows kurupt in the studio trying to record Dogg Pound Gangstaz with Daz on the boards.. shows Snoop and Nate and Tray dee lil c style in the tour bus just rappin along with their songs and shit.. shows them smoking weed and shit, and plenty more.. seems like a quarter of the movie is focused on DPG and shit.. has a lot of perspectives from Dre and Suge and shit.
shows hella Wu Tang clan footage, especially of method man. focuses on them when theyre on tour in japan.. shows ghostface getting a massage, ghostface and meth and u god hella arguging, them doing interviews, meth playing virtua cop just hella fuckin around in japan and just hella live footage of them on stage..
shows hella B.i.g. too with Craig Mack and puffy on stage.. biggie talks about how Ready to Die was 95% the chronic speaking.. like all the shit that he wasnt supposed to talk about, but the weed made him do it... and kind of how he wishes he was never born and shit..
yeah and a bunch of old school shit like russel simmons visiting slick rick in the pen, and interviews with like Grandmaster flash, whodini, kurtis blow, run DMC and shit like that..
yeah theres tons more.. they also focus a good portion on treach adn naughty by nature..
anyways i already told u a lot. but u guys should DEFINITELY check this dvd out. it was a great purchase, and i guarantee you will not be disappointed. definitely some classic footage on this dvd.. i remember someone on this board saying that they actually were able to attend this show, youre a lucky fuck.

No doubt. This is the best soundtrack ever made and the best documentary ever made, it was the theme music to my summer of 1996.

i have the vhs...picked it up like 6 years ago...is there any extras on the dvd...cause i don't remember that burger king part, that's about it, peace.
-
that was actually the best hip hop documentary. you got balance with the east and west and a foot in the old school. It also helps that it took place in hip hop's best era of music. ;)
michael moore should watch this , this is a real fair and balanced doc

Amazing documentary. But Justin - you missed the best part: Warren G vacuuming the tour bus. "I can't stand a dirty bus" ROFL...
