If you think about it, there are gonna be some big releases from West Coast artists in the coming months... Houston will drop his album August 10th and the lead single is a hit. The same day 2Pac Live is gonna drop. August 17th is the day the 213 album is due, which is definately a gonna be a hit. TQ's album Listen is scheduled for the last day of August; the lead single Right On is gonna blow the fuck up: great and catchy song + dope video = hit.

If the Riflemen album is gonna drop, it might be a hit, same with Against The Grain. In august Yukmouth will release 2 albums, E-40 will drop a greatest hits album and there are gonna be a few re-releases...

Good list Mauzip - except that you forgot one of the big forthcoming releases.

The Game dude! Just 'cause Dre is backing him up he's gonna get attention. Let alone if his album is a hit.

Before the year is over we will have a 213 album, a Game album and another Snoop Dogg album.  Plus Kurupt and maybe Warren release new joints.  I think the west is back already tho, for the last few months the WC been making noise and in the next year will will hear alot more from the left coast.

mainstream the west isnt back.  as it stands right now the biggest hope for the west is the game an thats b/c of whose backing him.  and i got a feeling sales wise 213 will be a flop.

Yeah, this is a huge chance for the West to come back during the remainder of the year.  The "crunk" stuff is kind of fading out, and maybe the West can get more exposure.  Snoop and Xzibit are releasing new shit, and they are probably the most "popular" artists on the West besides Dre and Cube.  Then we got new cats like Sly Boogy, Houston, and Game who are gettin pretty popular.  And we got people who will get strong record sales but aren't "superstars" like Daz, TQ, and Kurupt.  I think this is gonna be like the 99-2000 revival period.

Gotti, what is a flop to you?  I think 213 will sell 1 million, 1.5 max.  I'm not expecting a lot, especially b/c of the single they put out, but it should sell well.  Of course, it woulda sold about 5 mil if it would dropped 10 yrs ago.....

i think the 213 is gonna get tons of promotion the way its started out lots of exposure by mtv news and bet , plus alot of appearances made all over the US

I don't get how 2 R&B albums, and another posthumous Pac album will bring the West "back" ?
