It doesn't seem like anybody gives a fuck about Warren G any more..
First they block him from producing on 213, and now it seems his verses are limited to a few bars..
Then they nearly blackball him from the 213 ad campaign, and people don't give a F.. ???
Almost seems like there's something wrong with Warren, why nobody wants his beats.. ?
RotR was a dope ass album imo, dope beats & good concepts.. better than 95% of Westcoast albums.
After that album, beat purchasers should have taken numbers in line.. :-\
"Warren will concentrate more on his rhymes" - bunch of crap.. more like "concentrate more on finding ghostwriters that still don't mind having his rhymes on the same album as Snoop". Seems like E-White & Bad Azz is out of that picture....... Mista Grimm maybe.. ?
213 album could have been Warrens way back into the spotlight, but it seems they wanna limit him to some short verses and put him in the background.
* Awaits replies "Just be happy we get a 213 album", "Snoop is the best"...
-
I loved RotR and Warren's previous work too so I have absolutely no idea why he's being held back either. I guess people just aren't feeling his sound at the moment and only time will tell what happens next.
-
Yeah I don't know, his lyrics ain't all that, "Real In The Field" (if that was his production) was dope, and "Hot Hot Hot/Turn It Up Now" was coo, but a full album? ehhhhhhhhhhhh I'm not as hyped up to hear an album from him as I would be 10 years ago.
-
i would love another warren album, all 3 albums of his are great. im hoping he comes out with one soon, but i am still psyched for the 213, i think it will be dope, but would be a lot better with mostly warren beats. peace

Warren is the most underrated artist on the left coast period. More so than Quik.
Dude has dropped major heat on every album he has put out. He never disappoints, but none of his homies ever got his back. I'm pretty damn sure if Nate asked Warren to produce an entire album for him, Warren wouldn't turn him down. Seems like the DPG just keep him around strictly as a homie, but don't wanna get paper with him.
He's improved his rhymin' too. You can tell he got better on RotR. Still, no one wanna give him the time of day. His rhymes from what we've heard on the 213 album is bomb too, but Snoops name overshadows his. Maybe he's just a nice guy and let's people walk all over him, I dunno.
I mos definitely wanna hear another Warren album, whether it's a Ep or LP. Since Jome mentioned it, I wanna hear a Mista Grimm album too, produced entirely by Warren. Grimm was sick on RotR.
PUT SOME SOLO SHIT OUT G CHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

of course we still want a Warren G solo hes the only person who never dissapoints... well me atleast...
-
I want another warren g album
-
personally i'd rather hear a new warren g album than a snoop album.
-
I always would like a new Warren album, he's tight...
-
I can't think of any Warren G produced track I dislike. Warren always had a good flow, fuck what everybody else says. Warren G = a legend. Warren is underrated by the mainstream, but not by the people who were young back in the days of Regulate. Fuck yeah, I want another Warren G solo album, preferably an LP and not an EP.
-
first off, warren g is not the most underrated producer on the westcoast. I can name many who are just as good if not better than warren g, but get way less props. E-A-Ski, Khayree, Ant Banks, Mike Mosely, Studio Tone just to name a few.
Second, yeah I want a warren g solo. I want it a million times more than that soon to be released piece of crap called 213 years 2 late.
third, real in the field is one of the best songs I heard this year, and the best song out of the dpg camp in 3-4 years.
4th, his first album is a classic, in my top 10. his second album is pretty damn dope. 3rd album is cool but had some weak songs. Rotr is cool, I was way hyped at first but the album got old real quik.
5th, I've always liked warren on the mic. def way underrated on the mic. I like every verse he drops.

YeaH I wANT another aLBUM FROM waRREN g...as long AS IT SOUNDS LIKE I Want it aLL...And WaRREN DOESNT FIT THE mAinstreAM audience so fuck it lets do this for the fANS
-
im really eager for another Warren G album - he would be in my top 5 artists from the west and ive made sure to pick up every one of his albums. id at least like to see him producing for alot of other rappers on their albums as well.
its a shame he is being left behind on this 213 album - i always pictured a 213 album sounding more like a Warren G album rather then just another Snoop album. 213 shoulda been a classic and the biggest west coast album since '2001'. oh well... at least 213 the finally tried. ill just have to look forward to the next Warren G album rather then the forthcoming 213 album. which sounds kinda weird when u think about it.
-
I don't want another Warren G album.
I NEED another Warren G album.
Of all the artists that I got all them records he's been the only one who has never disappointed me. And I'm talking about not only hiphop, but r&b, reggae and dancehall (which are my fav genres). Xzibit got his weak shit, The Luniz got them weak shit, Cube's got his weak shit...all of them. Maybe Quik is the only one that also comes with heat, but you gotta give Warren his props. I never doubt a Warren G album, I buy it the day it comes out and I don't even have to open it to know it's heat. It is fucked up what Snoop has turned 213 into. My opinion is that he's noticed that Warren is on fire right now and he's afraid he could steal his shine in the 213 album, so he's limited him. 8 bars a song and that's it. Not producing the album and dropping 16 bars like it was supposed to be, that way he'd be getting all the props. Damn, I need a new Warren G album, it's been a while since ROTR.
-
yea definatly want a Warren G album...feel sorry for him how hes gettin fucked over with this new 213 release, not much focus on him at all in terms of publicity as already said.....
and Warren may not me the greatest rhymer but i dont give a shit, he makes some of the best beats, his flow has improved and he has it in him to drop a bangin album...ROTR to me was pretty bangin....shiiit bring back DAMONE who did that classic intro on ROTR that would be great too
-
Fuck yeah I want another Warren G album. Who doesn't want one? Bottom line is, dude hasn't put out a weak product yet, and dude's been doing his thing 10+ years. And I couldn't agree more with Sikotic, he said some real shit. Of course some people think differently and are entitled to their opinions, but I also think Warren's the most unappreciated artist from the West. He needs to put out that new solo quick, it's been too long since the last one. Still bump them all to this day. Hopefully we get to hear that Grimm album too, shit would be hella hot.
-
The tracks he produced for RBX for True Crime OST, and the new Twinz album proved he's still got it. He can use the G-Funk formula and still sound fresh and not played out, unlike alot of producers who do the same but sound outdated. He really needs to drop another solo after 213 asap
-
Warren g is 1 of the best producers around.......yeh we need a nu warren g album but it has 2 b more like regulate....g funk era

Lil Jay: What song did Warren produce for RBX on the True Crime sdtrk? And you've heard new Warren produced Twinz songs??? Hook me up!!!
I've liked all of warrens albums, but i really wish he woulda did the Mista Grimm album. I dont care what any of you so called westcoast experts say, Mista Grimm was the tightest on the west coast scene when ROTR dropped, an album of that Mista Grimm would be incredible.....

the track with RBX was called "We Came Here To Ride"........and Wcrydaz posted a Twinz sampler from the new album a while ago and there was this song produced by Warren, I think it was called "Baby Lets Roll" or something

i do

i want warren to atleast release 4 more solo albums. chuuch 2 that!!!!!
-
'Regulate again'
'Take ANOTHER look over your shoulder'
'I want it all...well, at least some of it'
'Return of the Return'
-
lol
but on the real,...
hopefully this 213 album will revive warren's solo career, n he can start all over again from scratch.
release atleast 4 new albums
he should keep the title "the g files" for one of the album titles. another good one would be "longbeach vet"
and maybe on his later albums , he could go by the name of his alias "G dub" . another good title he could use for one of his albums is "the G child"
plus warren need to find a label that can release multiple albums quickly. i think maybe TVT would be good for warren.
so hopefully warren can release atleast an album every year , or even two albums in one year.
yeah,... i think its time we get two warren albums in one year.
2pac done it,.. dmx done it,... ja rule done it,....nas done it,....
i think warren can do it too;)
-
Me. More than this wack 213 release.
-
I am now OUT of the closet.
I'm out.
Big A.G.

^Releasing an album under the allias G-Dub actually isn't a bad idea... it would be a way to re-establish himself to a new audience that might not listen to him otherwise. I really liked the album title: "The G-Files: Case 213"... Im always down for some new Warren G material.... he solidifies what the definition of g-funk is to me... I'm also hoping that the 213 album will revive Warren's solo career aswell... I hope for his album he keeps up the same formula as with the rest of his albums... I really don't think 213's project is going to do that great though sadly because im not impressed at all... i've heard nothing inovative or new, nothing original, nothing that really stands out all but it's not about the quality of the music nomore is it? it's about who has the most money and power to get airplay and litterly buy a platinum plaque... it's sad... too bad Warren don't peep the forums nomore or have his site still up, it was coo chatting with the g-child... LAzoo 4 more albums... err... reaistically im hoping for just atleast 1 more that will give Warren the recognition he deserves atleast as an amazing producer and put him back on the map cuz no1's really checkin for him nomore... all i ask is that he keeps the funk in it... his first 2 albums are still in rotatation every couple months... they never get old that's what defies classic 2 me somethin that never gets old... actually Warren's 2nd lp is his best to me, it always sounds fresh and new to me...

All 4 albums are classic to me and I'm sure that most of the westcoast fan base is still checking for Warren G. Who aint checking for him? The general public. But they aint checking for Knocturnal, Suga Free, Spice 1, Eiht, Daz, Kurupt...and they keep on doin their thing. Warren has always been true to his sound and to his fans. And that's something that not many rappers can say. And I'm sure he'll keep on bringin the Gfunk for us to enjoy for years (and years) to come.

^well on the east coast no1 is checkin for him... :-\ ... i have to agree with warren being true to his sound and fans...

yo about the 213 album,... yeh i dont think it'll be that good.
but it will sell coz of snoop and nate, plus there's commercial shit thats on the album that will hopefully appeal to the minstream audience. so this might be enough to get warren some hype, and then he can do his own thing, just like how young buck of g-unit is doing,... he came out with the g-unit album, and then he got some hype, and now he releasin a southern style album.
so i believe this is possible. i think this 213 will sell 2x platinum. there's no way it competes in any way with the eastsidaz first album, but 213'll sell double than what it did
-
the only good album he dropped was "Regulate", other than that they've all had 2-4 good songs. who cares.
-
^
alot of westcoast fans care
-
ignore him...ignorance drips from his post in fat drops.
-
warren g never disapoints
I'm looking forward a new warren g album and I hope he will handle the majority of the production
