in the svcd format where you get a big zip. does it happen to you where you d/l the whole big ass zip file completely and then when you unzip it, in the middle of the unzip an error comes up saying the archive is corrupt? Then you are missing a part of the file? that shit happens to me about 10-15% of the time and it really pisses me off. whats the deal with this? is it something I just have to live with?

Guess you gotta live with it..
Using WinRAR instead of Winzip will help in some cases, but not all..
And try not to have too many cutoff's/resumes, though it's not easy to plan..

yeah I do use winrar. does it happen to you much? is it just fucked up files? Like I just d/l Underworld 2 gig rar file, and it went all the way through. no interuptions, and then when I unrar it, disc 3 was missing files. pisses me off so bad.

Don't really download much movies, but when I did, it happened a couple of times..
Usually it's the cutoff/resume process that ruins the file, but the file can be broke when you get it too..
-
yup, happened to me a few times too...now i use bittorrent for downloading films/tv shows... 8)

it can be a couple of things
- the guy/bot who sent it has a corrupt disk/file
- you're missing part of it
- the internet link it came across had an error in transmission
if you try it again & it fucks up, the file on their end is probably corrupted

One thing you can do, that works for me, is once you have finished the downloading, look for the exact same thing in a bit torrent search site. What bit torrent will do is automatically scan all your rar files and make sure it's all complete. Then if it's not, it will fill in the missing few bits. Hope that helps.
