if you've been saving a lot of stuff since its prob gone (space reused)
u can get recovery software, its normally quite expensive
unless you can find a "trial" nudge nudge wink wink ;)

I tried some trial shareware program, and it found the file. the file was a bin for a movie, and when I recovered it, it came up as 0 kb. I'm pretty sure its gone for good, or atleast the time I wanna spend tryna get it. I just have to d/l it again.

I think most recovery programs can only recover files if you have the recover program installed before you empty the trashcan..
If you install it after you deleted the file, it can only say that the file was there but not recover it.

use file scavenger. i use this internally @ the company where I work when employees leave or get fired, then try delete the data on their laptop makin it look like they did nothin wrong..
depending on what you've done on your computer since you deleted it, you will have a good chance of gettin it back. if you've been creating/deleting alot of files, then your chances decrease.

it doesn't matter anymore. I already d/l the file again and burned it.
