Title: WC - Tears of a Killa
Post by: DPG4Life on August 15, 2004, 05:56:37 AM
first of all big props to WC - one of the greatest from the westcoast, from my point of view at least...

i remember that WC's last album Ghetto Heisman has been fucked when it was pressed - some major problems on some tracks
and i was wondering if any1 can upload a "WC - Tears of a Killa" without any errors - b/c that song is fucking good and id like to listen to it from beginning to end, without those errors

thx in advance

Hey man, what do you mean by errors? I'm pretty sure my version from the ''Ghetto Heisman'' album was error-free, unless there is an error I don't know about... ???

huh? did they re-press it?

hmmm, i never bought the retail, b/c i talked to ppl, who bought it and they said the error is still there...
i downloaded the RNS-release, it came out a month before the release date or so...

copy&paste from the .nfo:

Now, a note about this release. On
track 9, you'll notice that there are
some strange sounds around the 2 minute
mark, much like on the LL Cool J release.
Like that release, this is from the
final, shrink-wrapped retail product.
Now we don't know if Def Jam is having
some mastering issues or exactly what the
problem is, but unless they make an
emergency re-press, this is what's
going to hit store shelves on October
22nd.

if you use irc on efnet, can you plz hook me up with track 9?
would to great to have it without this rewind-start-again-thing 8)

Hmm, maybe they re-mastered the album for the European release. I got it here in the UK and there is certainly no stopping and re-starting problems. I'll try and hook-up a YouSendIt link...

It went like this...

The first pressing was faulty. It had errors on track 9. The album had already been shipped, so some might have gotten ahold of the faulty version, but Def Jam pulled back all the copies it could find and re-pressed it. This caused the album to be delayed by a few weeks. Then they shipped it again (this time error free). This new pressing is the one that reached Europe and other regions besides the US. The first pressing didn't leave the US as far as I know, but some copies were sold in the US if I remember correctly. None of the faulty copies should exist on shelves anywhere now.
