man... i was talkin to nima last night and he was tellin me some dumb shit this broad he been fuckin said..
he told her he was from germany and she was like "do ya'll have cell phones out there?" LOL

ive never been to europe but i always assumed that england, germany, and the other large countries were basically like america.

The only 'negative' differences I think of when I think of Europe is that
1. everything over there is old as fuck. In America, the oldest of anything is only 200 years old, because we're only 200 years old. So there's not a lot of old buildings, old roads, etc. Yall have roads that have laid in the same spot for 2000 years, lol. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, though.
2. everything always looks dirty in the pictures I see, lol. Again, probably because it's old. I live in Charlotte, though, which is one of the cleanest cities I've ever seen. Everything looks brand new and spotless. New York, Chicago, etc. on the other hand always looks filthy to me, too. LOL

haha.. man most shit aint old.. it doesnt survive, or isnt worth keepin unless its of historical importance.. yeah there are some old buildings around but they're looked after.. but most things aren't of a different age than in america.
england isnt that big a place (slightly smaller than oregan according to google..), so its not been hard to modernise all the roads, electricity etc etc.
one example is that its rare to see overhead powercables and phone lines these days
u can see em where i live though, but not the rest of town.

I know exactly what Nima means. I have been asked questions like: "Do you have cd's in The Netherlands?" and "Do you have planes in The Netherlands?" The worst part is... they are serious when they ask ;D

The thing that always trips me out is like the buildings and shit people live in in New York. They're so fuckin old, and they have about 2 inches of paint on the walls, because they've been painted and repainted since they were built in like 1910. Everything's new here, it's a totally different scene.

I always thought in Europe everything is old, becuase Europe is like the "old world" or whatever. but really, i believe in europe they have everything we have here.

I always thought of Europe as America, but with culture... lol
I've seen Mexico, some of it looks like the U.S., some of it looks like a large dirt village, in the U.S., some of it looks really clean, other parts looks like an urban mess. Europe I figured would be the same depending on the country. I'd imagion Eastern Europe to have more urban hell holes, well Western Europe to be more clean. But all and all, like every other country, the countries in Europe all have different areas that have different feels, even within the country.

It's basically just some cities, and only parts of the cities..
Many old buildings/castles/houses/attractions/churches etc. are kept in shape because they're often very good tourist attractions, and usually building a museum/memorial/attraction or something around it makes a lot of tourist go crazy.
In my city we get thousands of (mainly) Americans, Germans, Japanese & Chinese tourists every year..
Most of them brag about how fantastic the sights & attractions are, and that they never see any of that where they come from..
It's like a whole new dimension for them.. and then they come back year after year, and basically throw money into the city.. 8)
We might not have 8 or 10 lane highways here, but I dunno about 2000 year old roads either... lol
The old parts of the cities are usually not the place people live..

i've been to new york and i saw the stars and i'm in LA almost weekly and i definately can see the stars at night....hell i saw a fucking shooting star tonight. so i don't know what your foriegn ass is talking about

motorola, samsung, kyocera.. japanese?
nokia.. finnish (thats finland..).. btw.. nokia used to make car tires, they bought an english mobile phone company and used their technology
siemens.. german i believe..
btw.. we have often got smaller phones than ya'll because our cells are closer together

Good point. It's been years (as far as I know) since L.A. was covered in Smog like it used to be. I remember one time in like 83 I was driving down into L.A. with my family, and coming down off "The Grapevine" you could just see this big haze of a cloud hanging over the city. Craziest thing I've ever seen.

Same here. All the houses look the same. I remember I used to live out in Palmdale, California, really hot desert environment. Every house was the same model just different colors. I remember some nights, I would walk up to the wrong house or my parents would drive up in the wrong driveway lol. That's why I'm glad we moved back to an older more established neightborhood where the houses are all different from eachother.

i think samsung is from south-korea
and lot ppl think Nokia is Japanase, but its FINNISH FFS ;D the headquarter is in finland and it says in the phone "made in finland" or some shit. and no european cities aint like dirty old buildings and the roads aint 2000 years old... ::)
where i live, most of the buildings r really modern and like max 20-30year old, and lot of the buildings r like 5year old. and they make new roads like every 2nd or 3rd year... of course there is some shitty countries whit shitty roads like at Bulgary or however it is typed in english.
but not all countries.
and some1 said somethin about estonia, well ive been there like 10times, and the scenary varies alot, there is brand new glass house buildings with 30floors and buildings from the time when Soviet Union ran the shit there.

Your misconception is you think people give a shit. I wouldn't even want to visit your country, I don't know a thing about it, and don't want to know a thing about it. So your knowledge of the red light district doesn't really mean shit to me, just like my knowledge of downtown doesn't mean shit to you.
