Ok, i have hated on it for the first week, that was only after 2 listens...so last week i listened to it the whole way through...and...and...and ...well its dope i've been bumping it non stop for about a wek...its got west coast sound...nate, warren and even snoop sound tight, and i like at least 10 tracks and im really feelin mlk, gangsta shit, sassy ways, appreciation, ups and downs, mary jane, and groupie love...its not a sellout east coast sounding album and its just got that old school west coast sound...probably best west coast album so far this year 8)

probably best west coast album so far this year
good, u noticed it too :)
-
I hope you are being sarcastic.
If not you are an idiot. 8)
-
someone was saying the other day it grows on you...
-
Yeah, it's really an album that has to grow on you.
The first time I listened to it, I was like "hmmmm, okay, not bad". Then it became "sounds good"...today I bumped it again and I really think it's a banging album.

ive found exatly the same.
-
I've been listening to it for the last 3 days, and i hated it the first time i heard it. But now it's an alright album, even though I skip a few tracks when im listening to it. A good album I gotta say, but not the best this year..no way.
-
I've been feeling the same since the day I first heard it. TO ME it's a classic new school westcoast. Prolly the best to come from that camp after the Death Row era. So many catchy hooks, westcoast beats... I don't know what ya'll expected from this project!

Wow dawg I didn't expect that :o
but I did think that this album would grow on ya and a few others, I didn't really understand how some of the people we're hating on it, it was almost like they didn't even listen to the album... anywayz glad you like that shit Verbal....
-
The album is decent...Could have been so much better...But "MLK" IS a classic track (the album version is worse than the one on the advance though)...One of the better west coast tracks in a while...PeACe
-
I've found the same thing. I had the same experience when I picked up doggfather back in the day, I hated that album at first, but when I listen to it now I wish snoop could make something like that. So maybe The Hard Way will be called a classic in a few years just like doggfather.

"Verbal Assaulta", you are a chump with no guts. You want this album to be so good that you are making it sound good. Half of yall like that, the other half genuinely enjoy the album. This album was a disgrace,.

So now you tell people what to like and what not to like?
If somebody changes their mind they are a Chump with no guts? You haven't even heard the album unless you changed your mind on your boycott and listened to it... What does that say about you?
-
I've grown to like it a little bit. I still skip through the disc faster than some elementary girls playing hop-skotch, but I got my favorites.
-
I think this is the type of album that you play in 2 years and be like "Damn, I didn't realize how hot this is"
-
yeah it grew on me a shitload

hey Faghan, it takes a few listens and an open mind(something that you faghans are void of 8)) to start getting the feel of the album. Faghan you're a disgrace 8)
-
lol *prop*

he probably means the bootleg which was mistagged as an advance by some pesky irc bootlegger somewhere..
-
u and your fuckin advanced LOL...the track on the advance and the retail is EXACTLY the same but with some more ad-lips on the reatail LMAO
The advance version was more chill...They're about the same, but the version on the advance didn't have Snoop Dogg screaming all over it...LOL
-
it took me sum time to buy this cuz i was a lil short on money and didn't have time to download the whole thing, actually i was kind of positively surprised because there's no Warren G production on it and so many people had said it wasn't shit ...did u expect this to sound like a combination of Doggystyle and Regulate?? Cuz in 2004 west coast hiphop this is not less than we could have expected from them; catchy hooks, nice beats and definitely no let's-dickride-trends-to-push-some-more-units album. I don't see what's wrong with it....the G-Funk era ain't comin back but that would have been very naive to believe

lol...its tha same beat and verses...
-
The album hasn't really grown on me at all - the few tracks I knew were dope before, are that still, but the only track that I hadn't heard before and that I'm really feeling is "My Dirty Ho". So basically, I still think Hi-C's record is the better West Coast album this year.
-
I agree here it did grow on me a shitload as well. I still wish dolla dolla bill was on there but its still a pretty cool album..MLK, Groupie Luv, Mary Jane, Appreciation are prolly my favs..

I know, but the original doesn't have Snoop screaming all over it...You get it? They're about the same, but the original is slightly better...PeACe

A very good album

Yall some lames for real. I was clowning this faggot "Verbal Assaulta" cuz he is a certified faggot and known Tech dick rider. Out comes this gush of emotion from these random bitches. Coming out the closet pussies. What , Seer, after 3 years u finally have some thing to say? Chump.
Fuckin emotional bitches.
Anyways, yes Ive heard the album. I was at the HMV and I saw that shit staring at me for $12 and I did it for the legacy and an album full of Nate Dogg hooks. 7 good songs on a 19 track album. 2/5. and thats being generous.
-
LOL @ tha FAGHAN, Always talking tuff over the internet, at least i know from experience you have no guts.... though i guess no matter what you'll be a narrow minded fool 8)

I'm disappointed.

hA HA, 3 years later youre still a faggot. Pasty skinned, buzz cut, poorly educated, brainwashed 33 yr old faggot postin at WCC and still gettin clowned. The potential of a Tech slap to your face still got you shook.
Still making secret un annoucned missions across the border? Still stuck in that cubicle at work writing up TPS reports? No life, no pussy?
Pathetic.
