Title: Those Wacky Norwegians
Post by: mrtonguetwista on August 31, 2004, 06:32:51 PM: OSLO, Norway -- Police foiled an armed robbery in Norway early Monday, and the drama was caught on videotape.

It was taken by a crew filming a pornographic movie nearby.

Police say at least three men in ski masks tried to rob a cash transport vehicle in Oslo, near an apartment where the movie crew was working. The crew heard the commotion, as police officers fired shots at the fleeing robbers.

One member of the crew grabbed his camera and started rolling. The tape lasting about an hour has been turned over to police.

The suspects were arrested with what police say was a lot of cash.

It's a robbery spree over here, there's been like 10 armed robberies the last week or 2..
This time 3 guys robbed a money transport for 5 mill. NOK ($750.000), but police had a SWAT-team and helicopters ready, and caught them.

Well, whatever you call it.. it's the same setup/concept, wether you call it "Task Force", "Special Police unit" or "SWAT team"
Too bad they only use it in high risk armed operations.. (Doesn't happen every day in Norway, unlike..)
