I don't get it..
Jada kills every single guestspot he's on, he kills mixtapes, and embarras people on their own album..
Why can't he make a dope album.. ?
Instead of Swizz Beats, Neptunes, Neo, and other under-achieving fucks, why doesn't he fuck more with Alchemist, Premier, Nottz, 9th Wonder, Buckwild, DP Period, or something.. ???
He had dope producers like Scott Storch, Alchemist, Red Spyda, Havoc and Jellyroll on his album, but they supplied far from their best beats..
He should stop trying to sell out, and try putting out a Styles type of album.. (http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/Themes/dubcc/images//post/thumbup.gif)
Maybe a Lox or D-Block album will put him back on track..
-
i liked styles's album a lot more than jadakiss's album :D
-
They need to make Lox albums from now on and stay away from the solo shit.
-
fuck chamillionaire..
jada is the mixtape messiah
he is the only 1 out of the lox.. that does sorry shit when it comes to solo's... its the people around him..some1 within his camp is causin him to water down his albums
i agree with yall 2 the fullest he needs to stop solo'in and jus do group shit..kuz thats when he's at his best
-

Speaking of that Lox album (Live, Suffer, Celebrate)...is there already a release date for it?

true. I was sure his new album was gonna be bangin. dude spits the sickest verses out but when he drops his albums...blah. I dont get it
"Still Feel Me" was nice tho
-
Canibus should probably be mentioned in this category as well...
-
^^ yup, it would be a tie between jada and canibus if it wasn't for "Rip The Jacka"...i guess if jada made sumbody like stoupe produce his whole album it would be dope too...i don't think "Kiss Of Death" is that bad tho
Best Lox-related album is still the Styles solo
-
Thing is I don't think he can really carry a whole song by himself. Even the doper tracks from Kiss Tha Game had guest appearances on them, and the new album just has nothing that makes me wanna listen to it on their. He's only ever gonna be good for group albums and guest appearances I think, unless he actually gets some dope producers on his next album. Think about it, all of his best guest appearances have been over more straight hiphop orientated beats, i.e "Right Where You Stand" and "Made You Look Remix" to name a couple, and I think he actually stuggles to flow on more Jiggy beats, so it would make more sense to do a straight hiphop album instead of all this half crossed over shit he doing at the moment.

i cant imagine jada on stoupes beats
-
^^ yeah, I'm not sayin Stoupe is the right producer for Jada. But like Waitin For The DJ said, if he did sum straight hiphop shit it could be better than what he's doin at the moment. Shit, Jada outshined Guru on "Rite Where U Stand", so if he got sumbody like Primo to do an album with him it could be very dope
-
I think there are just certain artists that you can hear too much of - Kiss is one of them. Everyone knows he has skills but he struggles to carry 80 minutes on his back. Part of it is the producers, like Jome said, but part of it is also just him - he's a dope emcee but an average artist.
Reminds me of how I used to feel about Mystikal (don't get me wrong - I'm not comparing the two in terms of skills). I used to love his appearances on No Limit tracks but when I bought Unpredictable I realised a whole album of him was really pretty shit...
-
Yea ,isnt there a dblock album comin out soon??
-
yo in my opinion jadaz album aint wack, its pretty dope, just not what you would expect off someone with the hype carried with him...i think its more about gettin a cat to give him direction about how to hold down a whole album and keep it interesting instead of a verse or two feel me, cuz he got potential to put out a sick album ya dig, its just he gon slip if he dont put out a whole album with sick joints and a album feel, he aint gonna get the he should get, sheek dropped a sick album tho still
peace
-
all i wanna say is i thought his 'Why' song was meaningful , cute and humble. I like that song.
-
no, that title definitely goes to ras kass.
-
why was cute... lmao
-
why was cute... lmao
I hate Why. I'm probably the only person who feels that way.
-
^probly... did u like THe Roots - Why... i thought that was great also
-
^probly... did u like THe Roots - Why... i thought that was great also
Yeah that was a dope song. It had better lyrics and more meaning. Jada's Why can't even compare to that track.

Word.
I was almost certain that "Kiss Of Death" should be sick after hearing "Time's Up" and "Champ is here", but then he had to throw all of those sellout wannabe crossover joints on the album.. :(
-
why was cute... lmao
I hate Why. I'm probably the only person who feels that way.
nope. there are at least two 8)
...oh yeah, sumbody else said it was a pathetic attempt to be profound...so that makes it three
-
Chino XL...Ill ass rapper, but doesn't know how to make a song.
-
^^^Disagree. His albums have been good. His new album will be hard. My boy's Roomate produced the B-Side to "Wordsmith" it's called "Messiah."
How is Jada a Sell-Out? He came into the game on some jiggy shit. LOL. Sell-Out is such an over and wrongly used term.
-
Chino XL has the potential to make masterpieces; instead he brings us sub-par albums.
-
I don't see what's sub par about them. They're not the best, but far from sub par. To each is own. I think Non-Phix is garbage, you think Chi makes weak albums... Two different views.
-

Well, I wouldn't say weak, but they disappoint when you know how ill he is.
-
I agree with half of the title of the thread. And it aint the "best rapper" part.
-
Kiss Tha Game Goodbye>Kiss Of Death
His first album was way better including the song with Nas, "We Gonna Make It" produced by Alchemist with Styles P, and then None Y'All Better which was the Lox prduced bt Primo, then....Put Ya Hands Up.....Kiss Is Spittin........Uh Huhh with DMX. Even a down south song on there too. and some west coast with Snoop. That album was sick. It was an 8.5/10.........the new Kiss...........7.5/10.
Kiss Tha Game Goodbye deserves...money.....power............RESPECT
-
...oh yeah, sumbody else said it was a pathetic attempt to be profound...so that makes it three
That was me. I can't believe some people are so easily impressed.
-
why was cute... lmao
I hate Why. I'm probably the only person who feels that way.
No, i hate Why too...he sounds retarded, the dude doesn' know what he's talking about.
-

word, but then it is jome whos sayin it, the way he be describin a sellout, pretty much every rapper who ever rapped has sold out........like i said befo, i donno where half these cats were raised n shit, but they aint gotta fuckin clue about what a sell out is
pz

LOL
Jadakiss goes from straight ghetto tracks with D-Block, talking murder, guns, drugs, all that, and then he goes and makes tracks with Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, I will always love you, baby luuuuv, we are the world, etc. lmao
Maybe you can't see the contrasts.. or you don't care, personally I just hate love-songs.. (http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/schlafen/sleeping-smiley-009.gif)
You're right about 1 thing though: He's not the only one turning pop, probably everybody who sold platinum tries to go pop..
50, Banks, Nas, Jay-Z, Em, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, DMX, Ludacris, Busta, Fat Joe, the list is long.. with a few rare exceptions.
I guess the old Pac-rule still apply: "Make music for the bitches, and the niggaz will buy it too" or whatever he said..
Still, the point of the thread was that Jada make sub-par albums that anybody could put out..
That's sad, because you know Jada is capable of dropping either a straight all-hiphop album, or even a classic if he took the effort.
-

Its funny but i almost madet the same thread after i first heard his album, i was thinking after a bunch of dope guest appearance the past couple years, he would put out a dope album...but his album sucks...go figure
-
Jada ALWAYS been on that shit! Even when he was with Bad Boy. He did the fuckin' "Honey Remix" for gods sake! Jome, you're the biggest fuckin' moron I've ever came across. If Jada denounced love songs, then he's a sell out. But, he's been on that steez since he came out! Yes he does Street tracks, but that doesn't mean he can't appeal to bitches. Get your definitions straight. You always-reading-between-the-lines-ass muthafucka. Strech Armstrong even. You're a fuckin' idiot. Slap your self.
It's good business to appeal to bitches. They buy the majority of the albums, and if you don't appeal to them, expect to do small ass numbers. None of these cats wanna flop, they want huge sales. So, they gotta appeal to broads. They're not thinking, "Say homie, we gotta make this shit extra gangsta so that Jome can download it and bang it in his Taxi." What they're really thinking is, "I'm trying to do Usher numbers, let me call up an R&B chick and make a appealin' record for the ladies." It's business, genius. Fuck the streets if it ain't puttin' money in your pocket, believe that.
And, Jada can be grouped with emcees like Aesop Rock and shit like that. They have the ability to write dope verses, but lack any other sense of how to make a song. They come with wack ass hooks. Lame concepts. Choose poor beats. He's basically Canibus, just not as geeky.
-

For me, Jadakiss is too late. Nothing he does is groundbreaking, pretty much like the whole of Hip Hop at the moment.

thats the fuck im talkin about! jada got fans who be bitches, 50 got fans who be bitches, snoop got fans who be bitches, these niggaz may rap about guns n shit, but they gotta have shit for the broads now to or u aint gon sell, plus u still makin a joint for your fans, jus the bitches instead, aslong as its only a joint orr two, its standard.......where the fuck selling out comes into that is only for a lost cat......not all cats make joints for bitches and i got respect for them, but aint nuttin wrong with doin a joint for them, they making the muthafuckaz

Yeahy yeah, you're a prime example of that, but I already knew that, what's new.. ??

Make up your minds, do you want music "for the bitches" or do you want hiphop.. ??
So it's OK to "make shit for the broads" and then throw the real fans off with "makin a joint for your fans".. ?
I'm not following that, that's Snoop Dogg logic..
-
I agree with a lot thats said here...Dope MC, shitty artist...i think its hard for him to hold down an album on his own..
-
i liked styles's album a lot more than jadakiss's album :D
yep but its not bad though
-
jada needs to stop being concerned with crossing over into the 13yo girl market, and concentrate on making music like the other members of D-Block/LOX/whatever
-
jada needs to stop being concerned with crossing over into the 13yo girl market, and concentrate on making music like the other members of D-Block/LOX/whatever
The fact is the money is in the 13 year old market. Jadakiss would rather appeal to 20,000 13 yr olds than 100 random people on an internet message board.
KoDy.
-
even though i usually clown ras kass for one of the worst flows in hip hop history, hes easily better than jada, and soul on ice gets overrated by these little kids who just got into hiphop and hear it for the first time, so theres the answer to your question.
-
D-Block = Lox + Jae Hood rite?

-
The problem is that the songs "for the women", suck. "U Make Me Wanna" makes me wanna rip my ears off. You can still make a hit song or songs for the ladies and it still be dope. That's what you have to do.
-
^^tru no doubt homie, thats the best way of puttin it, when u make a joint for the ladies, its still gotta be dope........."21 questions" is a good example in my opinion....unlikes "i wanna be your lover" or whatever the g-unit joint was called......but the point is, even though the joint jada made might have been weak......it dont mean he sold out
-
Yeahy yeah, you're a prime example of that, but I already knew that, what's new.. ??
You know that? Then why call someone a sell out?
LMAO, you're ALWAYS preaching the opposite shit !!!! (http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/lachen/laughing-smiley-014.gif)
If you didn't constantly make dumb blanket statements, I'd never comment. But, you always gotta make some off-the-wall comment that has no base. Deal with it. You're an uninformed Hip Hop listener.
Make up your minds, do you want music "for the bitches" or do you want hiphop.. ??

Make up our minds? How are we conflicting? Idiot! Cheesus! Songs for the bitches is just as Hip Hop as songs for the "thugs." You mean to tell me a cat like L.L. Cool J isn't Hip Hop because he makes songs for ladies? Fuck outta here moron. You're not a thug, so half the shit you listen to ain't for you. Maybe you are a homo dogg...Everything for you has to be strictly for the fellas. It's more than OK to make songs for girls and it's more than OK to make songs for the rest of your fan base. That's not Snoop logic, that's BUSINESS! If you got a fan base that's 60% women, I don't think you'll be making a majority of gritty street songs, I'm pretty sure you'll cater to your fan base and make what they want. Do you want Hip Hop, what a fuckin' question. Shut the fuck up idiot. You need to really learn the roots of Hip Hop.
-
jada needs to stop being concerned with crossing over into the 13yo girl market, and concentrate on making music like the other members of D-Block/LOX/whatever
Word, aka the SGV market.

Yeah.

I'm 100% sure that if I went out and called Jada's album for "Album of the year" or "A very good album", you'd be the first person in line to point out the mediocrity and flaws of the album, underlining the Mariah-track, the out of place Em-track, and more.. it's comedy.
You're a comedy character.
Songs for the bitches is just as Hip Hop as songs for the "thugs." You mean to tell me a cat like L.L. Cool J isn't Hip Hop because he makes songs for ladies? Fuck outta here moron. You're not a thug, so half the shit you listen to ain't for you.
Yeah, you gotta be a thug to listen to gangstarap, or a woman to listen to softer love-tracks, great logic dumbnut!
So that's why you should ONLY listen to latin wannabe gangbanger rap.. ?? (Since thug tracks isn't made for you, great logic ehh)
What a fucking moron, you're seriously this dumb.. ??
You get a fan base according to the music you make, and according to the artists behavior/looks/personality/style, etc.
So I guess if Jadakiss went with the Village People style, you'd be totally happy with him getting 90% homo-fans, since he's aiming at his core audience, you'd be cheering in the front row.. ?
You want him to get women fans, so I ask you: Are you a woman.. ?
-
You got all wrong as usual. You don't have to be a thug or a gangsta to like that type of music, but that's all you want(and, by me pointing out your non-thug-self, I'm saying you SHOULD have more in common with a track aimed at broads, unless you're gay, than you would with a thug track.) By the way, show me where I wanna be a gangsta or thug, since you ALWAYS bring it up. Back it up or don't bring it up.
Oh and the album is very weak. Outside of "Why" there's only like 2 good songs on it. I'm not saying the album is good, I'm saying he's not a sell out(where did that dumbass statement come from?)
Uh...Yes you do get a fan base according the music you make. Jada's first single as a solo artist? "Knock Yourself Out" a track for the clubs and ladies. His main goal has always been to appeal to the ladies. And, hey, if Jada turned out to be a the next homo rapper, that's fine. If the music is hot, it's hot, regardless of it's gay or not. We all know you'd there rockin' the rainbow(since homo-phob's like yourself are usually the biggest flamers).
LOL @ Me wanting him to get women fans. Where did I state that? Show me fag, otherwise you're making another dumb statement. HE HAS AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE fans that are women. Women listen to Hip Hop. Women were there in the parks helping create Hip Hop.
Jome, you're a complete idiot. That Kane kid knows more about Hip Hop than you.
Dipset Fans >>>>>>>> Jome. At least when they make dumb comments they're funny.
-
Uh...Yes you do get a fan base according the music you make. Jada's first single as a solo artist? "Knock Yourself Out" a track for the clubs and ladies.
I don't wanna get into this retarded argument but I'm pretty sure that "Put Ya Hands Up" was his first single from that album. It is good song too.
-
Oh and the album is very weak. Outside of "Why" there's only like 2 good songs on it.
Back to square one, why the thread was made in the first place. (http://www.click-smilies.de/schnellauswahl/aktion033.gif)
As usual, you stir up shit instead of agreeing with one of my many correct statements.
Songs for the bitches is just as Hip Hop as songs for the "thugs." You mean to tell me a cat like L.L. Cool J isn't Hip Hop because he makes songs for ladies?
If you want Jada to get down with Jessica Simpson, J.Lo, Mariah Carey etc to make cute duets, or make sing-a-long radio jams with Neptunes or whoever, that's fine by me.. it's boring girlie tracks to me.
If you want LL to make "10" albums or "DEFinition" type of albums, that's also fine by me..
I dunno if you digged "10", but to me that was the opposite of I wanted to hear, with "10 million stars" as the exception.
Born to Love You, Luv U better, etc.. unless you're in love with LL, that's garbage.
You choose your own style, whatever works for you, DO YOU !!
-
LL Cool J used to make dope cuts for ladies, like "I Need Love"...That new garbage sucks ass.
-
"Put Ya Hands Up" was the street/buzz single, not the official single.
Jome: You autistic cab driver, if you never made blanket statements("Jada is a sell out") I'd never say a thing, but you insist on being an ass. I don't give a fuck if Jada does a song with Britney Spears produced by the Neptunes, if it's hot, it's hot. You don't seem to able to realize that fact. And, based on that, you're a hater. You judge tracks before you even hear them.
And, L.L. has made cuts for the ladies, so don't even get into that discussion, cuz you obvioulsy don't know. Just give up Jome Banks.

"Put Ya Hands Up" was the street/buzz single, not the official single.
Street singles don't have videos. "Put Ya Hands Up" did.

What about them?
-
both of them are street singles. neither of them have official first singles yet.
even jermaine dupree released a street single w/ a video years ago. the party continues.
-
So what is the difference between street singles and the "real" first single? Was "Made You Look" the street single and "I Can" the first single?
-
^^^They're meant to get people buzzing for the new album. Sorta like re-introducing them to the game. And, "Made You Look" was the official single.

Yeah, my main way of judging it is if the 12" single has a picture cover then its more than likely to be the official single, white labels, or blank covers usually mean street single.

um, put ya hands up was the first single from that album. They made a video, they played it on the radio. It was the first single.

Whatever suits you. Keep bumping that Jada/Mariah track in your ride on full blast, I'm not gonna judge you.

No shit, huh. ?
Now he ONLY makes tracks for the ladies, I guess that suits you perfectly.

Is Jomey Womey upset? Poor thing. L.L. knows his market, and geeks drivin' cabs in Europe are not his market. People who go to clubs and party are. Sorry you had to be excluded.
-
You're gay.

LL Cool J used to make dope cuts for ladies, like "I Need Love"...That new garbage sucks ass.
