Title: New computer... best browser?
Post by: Lord Funk on September 02, 2004, 12:39:23 PM: I get my new computer on Saturday and I'm working out how to get online with it. What do you guys think the best browser is? At the moment I'm using Netscape after a virus fucked my IE some months ago. I've got no issues with Netscape, but everyone seems to be talking about Firefox - what can people tell me about it? My main priority is to get something secure - I use a PC-cillin anyway, but all the talk about IE's security issues makes me wary of anything. Any guidance would be cool.

IE probably had more than 100 different crucial bugs, some times months go by before they correct it..

I guess that's why Microsofts security boss uses Firefox.. ;D

Ad-ware easily gets through IE, and installed on your computer.

Malcious scripts can easily be ran through ie, that can damage your computer.

Because IE is built into windows, its alot more vulnerable.

Just like noone cares about hacking Apple/Mac's, they always go for the big audience.
