Has anyone ever seen this movie?
It's a Japanese movie which caused a lot of controversy because of its violent content. Kill Bill ain't shit compared to this.
Basically, the story is about a high-school class that has to go to a remote island under pressure of the army/government. There are about 40 students and they gotta killl each other until there's only 1 more person left...he's the winner of this "game".
It's pretty fucking sick...some scenes are just :o I still can't believe that they allowed that movie to be released in Japan, 'cause I heard that their government has a zero-tolerance for such movies. Anyway, it's also about friendship & betrayal, but it's filled with violence too.
Interesting fact:
It's one of Quentin Tarantino's favorite movies to have come out over the past couple of years.

Never heard of it but it sounds like a great movie, depending on the direction of the director.
-

-
Yeah, its a dope film, didn't think it was particulary gruesome though to be honest.

-
Been in the vid stores for a while now, never interested me, but I've heard that it's pretty gruesome. Should be in the weekly section now, so I might check it out.

True that.
Yeah, its a dope film, didn't think it was particulary gruesome though to be honest.
I know, it's not that gruesome, but it's crazy how the person who wrote the script came up with a concept like that. It's just sick...

Some of it is pretty sick, just in an ironic sense, like the fact that the girl on the video when they are being told the rules of the game is really happy, and the teacher is the only one clapping and cheering along cause all the kids are scared as fuck.
The second one just came out in DVD, might have to cop it.

And it's not the most gruesome ever, just the fact that 15 year old schoolkids get kidnapped and forced to slaughter each other.

OTHER INFO / POINTLESS RAMBLINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
The subtitles can be viewed either with the (Direct)VobSub codec
or loaded manually using any number of video players, including my
favorite, Media Player Classic. Select the .idx file when loading them
manually.
Also, some of the aforementioned players may load the subtitles
automatically. Since DirectVobSub does this as well you may see two
sets of subtitles when viewing at full screen. You will have to either
disable VobSub's autoloading feature or disable the player's subtitle
rendering to fix this.
