Title: Eminem no longer on Aftermath?
Post by: The Watcher on October 07, 2004, 07:22:58 PM
Ok, a few days ago I read on hiphopsite.com that Em had a three album deal with Aftermath.. then I read on AllHipHop:

Eminem’s upcoming album, Encore, is reportedly going to release the album with a number of perks to encourage listeners to buy the album. According to Billboard, the Detroit rep is going to offer full album lyrics, 25 high-gloss photo inserts, ringtones, and a special “telescoping box.” Encore is slated to drop November 16 on Shady/Interscope.

Shady/Interscope? Is he no longer on Aftermath or.. ?

Could be.  Doesn't really matter though.  Him and Dre will still be working together and Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit is a big family anyway.

the only thing that means is that Dre gets less money and Em gets more money.. Im cool with that. Dre didnt do any good on TES... only thing that was good was the Business beat, everything else Dre did for TES sucked. So I dont give a fuck. What would be very cool though is if Em wont be anymore on Interscope after Encore.. so Jimmy wont talk shit anymore. This greedy bitches Jimmy and Paul can suck a fat dick.

it could b true that he isnt on 'math no more, it only means dre doesnt get as much cash as he did before...(like he needs any::))

Since we're on the speculation tip...

I don't think Eminem would be leaving Interscope behind anytime soon. He's got a lot of success and made a lot of money under that label, no reason for him to move.

But speculation is useless, so fuck it. And it really don't matter if he's on Aftermath or not, it's still the same fuckin camp/family/clique/whatever.

worrrd, i been waitin for that for too long. the revolution is here :o

uhm, i don't know, but if he leaves or has left Aftermath, little will change. like bjax said, it's all like one big family anyways, and dre didn't do much on Em's last album, so whether this is gonna be Aftermath or not, there'll be little by dre anyways prolly. and em's still cool with the same people, so the label it's released on will neither affect the guest list nor the production. i don't care about the label, i just wanna hear a good album, period

On ''Making The Video'' for 'Just Lose It' when the final version was shown they stated Em's labels as Aftermath/Shady/Interscope, so I'm guessing he's still in some way tied to the Aftermath camp. Seems like Shady Records is playing a bigger part now though.

He doesn't need Aftermath anymore anyways.....Unless he keeps releasing shit like Just Lose It.

Eminem is signed to Aftermath/Interscope/Universal/Vivendi they just add Shady to it to show the name and coz it´s Em´s company kind of like how they did with 50´s album puttin Shady/aftermath/g-unit at the back of it. and and back in 2000 Dre said that he signed Em for a 6 album deal so obviously he´s still on Aftermath.

^^ no homie.. Em is signed to Shady/Aftermath just like 50 Cent and Stat Quo.. that means Em and Dre split 50/50 on Em, 50 and Stat.

Further, Obie, D-12 and Pharoahe Monch are signed to Shady.

Only big Artist that is signed to Aftermath only is Busta.. and well Dre of course.

Taking that into account.. Em is bigger than Dre in some way. LoL!

True...and let's not forget that it's because of Dre that Em has such a successful career right now. He won't leave him behind just like that...

na dawg i think its like this, aftermath got eminem 50 game busta eve stat, shady got 50 obie d12,stat and monch aint fully clear in what way he signed....aftermath is bigger than shady records no doubt....

and eminems shit comes out on aftermath, not shady/aftermath.......up to 8 mile anyways, he just gets his label pic on their to cuz eminem owns shady records....maybe the contracts switched up slightly now most likely but till the 8mile cd, the stuff eminem releases comes off aftermath......im pretty sure anyways, could be wrong

but about the post, im sure shady records is more involved in shit now but i dont think he'll ever leave aftermath anytime soon
