Yeah, as long as it doesn't crash, freeze up, installs pornbars and searchbars or trojans and changes your startpage..  :D
In 6 months using Firefox I had 0 problems, as compared to IE crashing every other day, freezing up the computer and installing toolbars, searchbars and trojans..  :-X

You gotta have Flash (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash) installed to peep Flash anim & games, or Shockwave (http://sdc.shockwave.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?).

As for the image problem KidRenegade, are you behind a firewall.. ??
Firefox have strict security unlike IE, so it works together with your firewall to block unwanted stuff, some times it blocks images as well.
You have the latest version ?? Firefox preview release 1.0 ??

1) get a virus checker
2) keep IE up to date
3) install a popup blocker.. actually the new IE has one built in. (that came with XP SP2)
4) uz a rat :P haha

Yup.

It's not that hard to keep your shit up to date.

The way I see it is: You change the oil in your car, and take it in for 30,000-60,000-90,000 mile checkups right? Why not do the same for your computer?

A little preventative maintenance is all you need to keep things running smoothly.

So who's fault is that? Microsofts?

So who's fault is that? Microsofts?

They find 2-8 security holes in IE EVERY MONTH, and IE is made by Microsoft. I'd say YEAH.
Installing trojans, searchbars, casino-ads, spyware and pop-up programs is piece of cake on any website if the user uses IE.
Yet, MS does nothing to prevent it or make it more difficult. :-X
If I wanted to, I could make Dubcnn install trojans, adware and spyware on the PC's of everybody using Internet Explorer.. easy.

There's no wonder every PC security expert in the world recommends using ANYTHING ELSE THAN IE.
Even IE's programming chief uses FIREFOX because he says it's too much of a risk to use IE..

I've been using Internet Explorer for the last year...About 2 months ago I started using Firefox...From personal experience, I can tell you that Firefox is EASILY a better browser than Internet Explorer.

h4x0rZ?! I know you can't do that. You don't have the know how.  ;)

Just because you can't keep your shit in line doesn't mean the product is bad. Take a look at the precentage of firefox users compared to the number of IE users.

If you had the ability to do this, you shouldn't even have to worry about problems such as the ones listed above occurring.
By the way, if you don't want pornbars installed, stop jacking off to porn sites all day... it's that easy.

I don't think you got the point.
It's not about "keeping your shit in line", it's about what webpage you visit, and which browser you are using. With updated IE, updated anti-virus, and without answering "Yes" to anything, webpages can install trojans, spyware, adware etc. on your computer.
Don't believe it ? Ask anybody working with anti-virus or browser security.

If you had the ability to do this, you shouldn't even have to worry about problems such as the ones listed above occurring.
By the way, if you don't want pornbars installed, stop jacking off to porn sites all day... it's that easy.

If I had the ability to do that, there would still be a couple of thousands of morons out there trying to come up with bullshit programs to hi-jack your PC, spy on your surfhabits, place popups on your PC, and eventually shut something down.. the problem wouldn't go away.

And you don't need to go to any porn-sites to get sneaky pornbars installed...  :nawty:
