Post by: Sir Petey on October 26, 2004, 09:23:32 AM
I cant believe how hipocritical alot of yall are...you say you want the west coast to prosper but when ever a cat from the west tries to take it cross country yall hate for not keeping it "gangsta" enough...I think it was a good move for snoop to fuck with the neptunes...ya'll wanna keep him in this 1994 time capsule but are you the same person you were 10 years ago?
let a motherfucker get his grown man on , shit! the west side connect just dropped a whole album full of eastcoast beats and they didnt recieve this backlash...all these new york cats use the slang and the westcoast paraphanalia and they even use our beats and our producers and for the most part new york cats dont hate ...they congradulate...all Im sayin is dont be so critical about everything homeboy does...at least hear the album first...everyone said 213 was gonna be shitty and thats one of my favorite albums of the year....let the hate commence

I work at a moms and pops record store around my way and I can honestly say that the general concensus is that drop it like its hot is a certified banger...It's definetly the most unique beat Ive heard since grindin( also produced by the neptunes) and daily cat's come in and ask when the album is gonna be released...snoops gonna surprise alot of fans and haters alike with this album. and while this album doesn't necessarily fit the mold of a traditional west coast album, might I offer that scarface's album the fix did'nt fit the mold of a traditional southern album but yielded classic results by stepping outside of his boundries...as I said earlier at least give it a chance before you dismiss it.
