50, Justin, Lil Jon, Nelly, Neptunes Spice Up New Snoop LP
10.27.2004 10:03 PM EDT

Look out, Chad Hugo, Pharrell Williams may have found himself a new partner in Snoop Dogg. Williams (Hugo's other half in the Neptunes) and Snoop first worked their tandem magic with "Beautiful," and their latest collaboration, "Drop It Like It's Hot," is a top-10 hit.

The bass-heavy club banger is just one of several collaborations on Snoop's forthcoming album, Snoop Dogg R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, his debut for Star Trak, the Neptunes' label (see "Snoop Signs With Neptunes For Next Step In Long Label Trek"). Due November 23, the LP also features appearances from 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Lil Jon and Trina, among others.

Snoop also pays homage to the old school by enlisting the help of legendary P-Funk bassist Bootsy Collins and Gap Band frontman (and frequent Snoop collaborator) Charlie Wilson, who are featured on two tracks each.

Track list for Snoop Dogg R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, according to his publicist:

"Intro - I Love to Give You Light"
"Bang Out"
"Drop It Like It's Hot" (featuring Pharrell)
"Can I Get a Flicc Witchu" (featuring Bootsy Collins)
"Ups & Downs"
"The Bidness"
"Snoop D.O.Double-G"
"Let's Get Blown"
"Every Dogg Has His Day Interlude"
"Step Yo Game Up" (featuring Lil Jon and Trina)
"Perfect" (featuring Charlie Wilson)
"Fresh Pair of Panties On"
"Promise I"
"Oh No" (featuring 50 Cent)
"Can You Control Yo Hoe" (featuring Soopafly)
"Signs" (featuring Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake)
"I'm Threw Witchu"
"Pass It Pass It"
"Girl Like U" (featuring Nelly)
"No Thang On Me" (featuring Bootsy Collins)

I think this will be an extremely solid effort from snoop...and despite the timberlake appearance I bet that track will be bangin' also

This is commercial as it gets, I don't expect Snoop to try and go back to his Doggystyle phase but he needs DJ Slip on his entire album

I like slip is much as the next man but some of his tracks sound dated...but while thats not necessarily a bad thing if your a die hard loyalist to west coast music some young cat from seattle or detroit might be sitting there like "what the fuck is this shit?" so a whole album by slip might not go over so well with the general public

I don't care that Justin Timberlake is on teh album, but one person I don't wanna hear is Nelly.

It Would be tight if "Oh no" was a Dr.dre track the tracklist aint that bad...yes its bad but atleast pharrell is not all over it and I think they did like 5 or 7 beats , the rest is handled by Hi -tek, LT Hutton, Ole Folks,Warryn Campbel, lil Jon,Denaun Porter, Soopafly and Josef
My only problem is the nelly track but LT Hutton did the beat so i aint trippin

i have a feeling this is alot better than were expecting......the problem i have with this list is the nelly trina features, why not daz and suga free or somethin, on another note there are alot of solo snoop tracks, or features with people just on the hooks so it won't be such a collaboration album like the last one

I have a feeling this album will surprise people, but i wish there had been a dre track on here casue we all know theres no better combo than dre and snoop. I will wait till I hear the album to pass judgement on it though.

This album isnt for the hardkore snoop dogg fans. This shits aimed towards the commerical crowd, Im sure therez a few club bangerz on there. Snoop Dogg wants to get on the same commericla level as fifty cent, eminem, lil jon , justin timberlake, nelly etc

you're exactly right. snoop gives a fuck about quality music. he's happy to sell his soul. i don't think i'll ever by another album with his name on it.

Wow, this CD just looks plain gay.  The one recognized West Coast producer he puts on there is Soopafly???  Come the fuck on.  Where's Battlecat?  Where's Dre?  Where's Quik?  FredWreck?

you have soopafly, Lt 2 songs, and josef

we don't know who produced 3 songs "snoop do double g" "Bang out" and "oh no" feat 50...........this probably isn't realistic but maybee those are dre produced tracks as a suprise at least hopefully the one with 50 is

I'm looking forward to this album...

I don't really see snoop as a West Coast representer anymore, so I don't really look forward to his album from a "westcoast standpoint." I really liked the first single, and the rest of the stuff he's done with the neptunes has been nice. I'll probably purchase this album, because I'm a snoop dogg fan. I gave up on him repping the west, or having a fully westcoast album after his last one. Maybe he'll suprise me.... Who knows.

I'll guarantee everybody on here that there will be a couple of bangers on this album and I also guarantee that people will hate on it.

It is what it is...

This looks terrible.

I do bet the album will turn out quite different from this though. Sadly however, the tracks he should drop ( *cough* Nelly *cough*) will most definately remain. If I were Snoop I wouldn't have dared to have such a tracklist while having a 'return to the Chronic-era' in my mind.
