This is the brand new, minute-long Halo 2 commercial! I've seen the 30 second one a few times on TV already...this is basically the same thing with a lot more stuff in it.

yeah man i checked this out earlier today. Its good to see somebody here thats into halo. most peeps around here hate. Anyway, nov 9th is sooo close. i'm startin to trip cuz i didn't think this day was ever gonna get here. That commercial is crazy - props

Man I've always been into Halo. I read all three books on it and I've been waiting for this game for the past 2-2 1/2 years. Now thats its only about 12 days away...I can't fucking wait. The EB I'm getting it from is opening at midnight that monday night (actually tuesday morning) and is gonna have a big Halo 2 LAN goin on. Needless to say, I'm gonna pick up my fully paid for Limited Edition copy, play Halo 2 LAN until the store closes, go home, and play Halo 2 the rest of that day.
On the 9th...fuck school...its a damn holiday for me.

Yeah, i have my limited edition on hold at EB games as well. I haven't heard if they are gonna have a LAN party or not...i got into halo about 2 years ago, and haven't put it down since. My friend and I are going through the campaign on co op on legendary, trying to beat each stage without dying. We've done every stage except the library and the maw. It was our goal to finish up before H2 drops, not sure if we're gonna do it or not. and as far as working that day, fuck that. i'm using one of my vacation days on the 9th and 10th, and i'm off the 11th for veterans day. (one of the plusses of working at a bank). do you have xbox live?

mine is J2Pacalypse. I'm thinking there's gonna be downloadable content the day the game drops - ie a MP map or something like that. i've heard that they aren't doing co op on live, but i've seen other evidence that contradicts that. i've purposely been shying away from all spoilers, so that way i can be in shock for the following couple of weeks after the drop date.

I highly doubt there will be downloadable content the day it drops...no way no how.
Its true...there is no COOP on Live...it will remain 2 player split screen. However, as a way to make up for this, if a person has Xbox Live (an account), that person can have 3 more guests with him in the matches. Basically, get four controllers, an XBL account, and all four of you can play on Live together.

the only reason why i hold a glimmer of hope is because of the xbox mailer that came in my email about a month ago. It showed a picture a master chief behind a turret, and it said "you and your marines are surrounded by aliens, what do you do?" a) run away, hide
or b) get a friend to help you via xbox live". granted, that was a while ago, and OXM said it wasn't in there, so i don't believe it will be, but i think there's a small chance. The weird thing is, they said "aliens" and not covenant. so who knows.
as for the downloadable content, i think there's a possibility, just to reward those who have XBL, because if others hear that there is already downloadable content its gonna drive them crazy. especially if it is another MP level, and give them a reason to want to get on live asap. again pure speculation. either way, if everything we have heard from OXM is 100% accurate, its still gonna be (imo) the greatest game ever.
