with 9 Detox beats, Kanye West and others....The Game has the total package IMO, story telling, dope lyrics, he has a sick flow, voice and delivery. Not to mention he is hungry as a mofo when hes on the mic. Dr. Dre is obviously overseeing the project.
Is there any doubt?
I smell a classic in the making 8)

Is there any doubt?
not in my mind 8)
-
After hearing Fresh 83: absolutely.
-
LMAO @ 9 Detox beats. They're just Dre beats people.
I mean, "Higher" is aight. "This Is How We Do" is coo. "Westside Story" is nice. But none are classics. They're not even in my regular rotation, so to me, it's not lookin' classic.
-
^ at least u didnt say it sucked for a change.. lol...
personally... Fresh 83 is ok.. Westside Story is ok too.. both are solid..
Higher is insane.. I didn't appreciate it fully until I played it loud in my car.
I have no doubt the album is gonna do very well, and be very popular. and probably pretty solid.
Classic is a word thats used too damn much.. only a handful of albums -ever- are classics..
-
Classic? There's not many classics in Hip-Hop. You telling me this will be up there with Tougher Than Leather, Raising Hell, Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back, Fear Of A Black Planet, Paid In Full, Long Live The Kane, Death Certificate, Efil4zaggin or Black On Both Sides?
-
When I said "Claissic", I meant it.
I expect The Game to blow everyone outa the water. Seriously.
"Wakeup...the Westcoast is back!"
-
ok.. this will be a dope album.. mainly cause of the beats,( i agree with seer, higher is incredible).. but classic? i dont think so..
-
I'm thinking The Documentary will be on a level slightly under or maybe even equal to 2001. Judging by the first three singles the album is looking to be great but there isn't really a standout classic track yet like when I first heard "Still D.R.E." I literally said "GAWD DAMN!" although "Higher" comes close.
-
Well I figure The Game is at least gonna drop the album of the year no doubt. Better than Nas, Snoop, Eminem or anyone else coming out. For sure. And you know 5, 10, 15 years (Im guessing) people will be saying "remember when the Game came out ect...) and dropped his debut like we are all talking about Snoop & Nas debut albums these days.
Is it just me, or is The Game THE BEST rapper in rap music right now? I aint even joking. The guy doesnt even have an album out, but I know that nobodys fuckin w him right now. Creatively, or in any battle, no one is bringing heat like Game.
-
personally, i thought Fresh 83 sucks ass

best rapper.. hes NOT GOOD!! ur just so exited... ur seeing past his simplistic rhymed and unoriginal topics.. :-\

I'm just glad that there's gonna be a popular rapper with testosterone again. I'm tired of these singin ass R&B pussies.
-
THEY GOTTA STRIKE NOW!!
WHILE THE FIRE IS STILL HOT...
Game defo got's what it takes to make the album..
it's up to the people runnin' the show if they decide to let
Game run with it.
Dre's got the ear...
let's just listen
Hatesrats 2oooFoe

i think it'll be a very good album, def a contender for AOY. i thought westside story was a very good song, eventhough it feels like its somewhat formulaic. it's half "in da club" half "still D.R.E." But if has 9 dre beats, i will be very happy. i'm anticipating Nas much more though. I def agree with whoever talked about needing a rapper with testosterone. hopefully game won't drop some sing songy shit to a woman telling her how much he loves her. that shit has got to stop. i

This album WILL be one of the best of 2005.
-
nope, not classic, like Overseer said only a handful of albums are classic.
BUT, its going to blow alot of the shit past & present out of the water
-
i dont see it being that great an album. it will be good hot album, better than Get Rich or Die Trying, but still nothing special. i also dont think its gonna bring the west back cause everyone will think since hes part of G-Unit hes from NY (people who only listen to commercial rap). i hope its a sick album though.
peace
-
in this day an age, it will be... but compared to classics in the past, yea it will. This is one of the few albums i am lookin foward to.
-
i doubt it will be classic..but its gonna be a fresh sound from the west..FINALLY! 8)
-
I don't know what the deal is with y'all....but EVERYBODY I know is feelin Fresh 83. It is me and all of my homeboys favorite track. This goes for everybody who's from LA like me, and even to my homeboys from Jersey and NY. So I guess y'all just have a diff. opinion about things because all of us are feelin that and bumpin it all the time.
Only thing that may not make it classic to me is that I have already played out Higher and Westside Story, and about 90% played out Fresh 83, so those songs won't really hit me when I get the album.
-
it wont be a classic.. but one of the good albums dre has touched in a min ..its been awhile since some new blood with this type of production do sumthin on the west...
i know 1 thing tho ..this will be a album niggas love to hate on.. 4real
-
I think people arent allowed to use the term "Classic" anymore for todays Albums. ::)
Apart from that, I think to some people this LP can make a classic-like status. I hope I got my driver's license till then. I gon bump it so loud in the car, it'll be insane.
-
everyone will think since hes part of G-Unit hes from NY (people who only listen to commercial rap).
peeps who don't speak a word englisch yeah, maybe.. other than that everybody will get it after Game mentions it for the 3rd time (which will be on track #3) at the latest
-
i like fresh 83.. but higher is a lot better
-
can't call it yet classic, only 3 songs, all very good and solid, but the thing is when the album comes out i have out played them, they dont sound as good as now then. but i think this is one of the best if not the best album of 2005.
-

My thoughts exactly.

Is there anoy doubt that "The Game" is going to drop a classic album?
Me. I mean c'mon you guys! Doggystyle and Chronic are "classic albums". All Eyez On Me and Dogg Food are "classic albums". Regulate is a "classic album". Off Parole is a "classic album". You seriously think Game will top that level? I doubt that. Gangsta Rap will never be the same, and Game's album will be a good 4 mics one, max.

haha
i made a poll (with my old account :D)...only two ppl liked Fresh 83 the best...me..and i think you lol
-
a classic is determined by time and influence. this forum never ceases to amaze me.
-
I love "how we do"(fresh 83) but game sound too much like a eastcoast rapper :-\ keep it westcoast
-
fresh 83 is tight as fuck!! Everybody I know luv that shit too.Beat is sick. 50 and game killed it. The album is classic potential. Allot of people will say get rich or die trying and 2001 were classis albums. I aint suprised some of yall dont like it cuz ive read some of yalls favorite songs on other posts and thier wack as fuck. So this makes since.

In case you haven't noticed yet, Game sucks ass. For christ's sake just look at his name. A classic my ass, aren't classics supposed to be original and a fresh breath of air? He's one of the most generic pieces of shit rapper, just look at his album title "Nigga With An Attitude" that pretty much shows where he got his whole generic style from. Most people act like he's the best thing to come out since sliced bread. Well, if that's true, we had some pretty shitty times since sliced bread was invented.
So yeah, thats my opinion on.. "The Game".. so yeah, hate me if you want or diss me, but its just my opinion and if you hate someone cause of they're opinion, your kinda gay..
-
its gonna be good. especially if Dre really has 9 beats on there.
-
Yea it will probably be good, but not a CLASSIC. like other people said you canT say "classic" for like every album, it takes time and influence like smartass said...but even with time I really dont think the game album will be classic at all :P
-
Yall are killing me with this "Classic" shit. "Me against the World" is classic. "Enter the 36 Chambers" is classic. "Straight outta Compton" is classic. The songs I've heard are ok, but not earth shattering.
-
I love "how we do"(fresh 83) but game sound too much like a eastcoast rapper :-\ keep it westcoast
how does the game sound eastcoast? every song hes repping westside and sayin shit liie fuck a mayback, im in the impala, gold 100 spokes, chronic, compton ect...
Game is reppin the west to the fullest, more than anyone else right now anyways.
Hes too dope on the mic not to get recognition from eastcoast DJ's like Kay Slay, Whoo Kid ect.
-
I have every doubt. None of the three tracks so far have been near classic status, and as a rapper he hasn't said anything that has made me go :o, plus Dre's beats are sounding tired nowadays.
