Title: Predictions of Detox
Post by: white Boy on October 30, 2004, 12:00:30 PM
this is just for shits and giggles and to waste time wile we wait..  :)

i have a question for yall.. how do u invision detox.. truthfully.. i think it will be the sickest shit ever.. like i doubt dre will go for another 2001.. u think hes just gonna make another album about gangbanging.. i duno... all i know is it will be worth the wait

this question deserves to be its own thread...I believe dre should pump his breaks...If detox dropped there would be no snoop....no kurupt I doubt DOC would be involved and I aint heard shit about dre working with mel man lately...
50 cent and G unit, eminem and busta eve and stat quo are all cool but I aint tryin to hear a dre album without a west coast influence and Im gonna catch flack for this but dres beats have been real east coastish to me lately (and game sounds like shyne to me) so I think he should hold off untill some of the key players in his legacy can play a bigger roll in his project ..I dont care if it comes out in 2010 it would be worth the wait any thing less would be rushed at best...

2 predictions

first - it won't drop

second - I won't like it as much as I like his other 2 albums.  I'm sure the beats will be hot, and it will be good, but it will be full of artists I don't care for or listen to.

I could give a fuck about this album at this point.  Dre thinks he can lead us around, but I just stopped caring like 6 months ago about this project.  There are better producers out there than Dre, and its obvious by this point that Dre could give a fuck about his fans.

I would like to say I think thats true but both snoop and dre will forever be trying to prove to each other how they dont need each other. and while they are both successfull they will always be celebrated the most when they work together. and I also feel that they bring the best out of eachother.

I don't care who's on dre's album. I just don't. I want a Dre album for DRE AND HIS PRODUCTION. Whoever he has rapping is bonus, don't care.

"Everybody wanna know how close me and Snoop is" Dr.Dre in Chronic 2001

Man it's the same old story. Snoop will be on Detox, and that's fo sho.

And btw, if everybody hates Snoop so much lately, why y'all care that much?

My 2 cents: Detox will drop. End of 2005, early 2006. It'll be Higher-like beats and I won't like it. It'll be the least westcoast album by Dre.

No, he didn't. Those lyrics aren't from Still D.R.E. but from 'What's the difference?'..as far as I know, Jay-Z didn't write those.

first - it won't drop

it WILL drop....

in The Game - Higher u hear dre say "look out for detox"
and in the new Eminem feat. Dre & 50 Cent - One Last Time em says "dont worry about that detox album, we will make dre do it"

Yes he did.

Who said those lyrics were from Still DRE???

And who said anything about Jay-Z???

My prediction for Detox is that it will be overrated just like 2001 was (that is if it drops).

Man....Some of you guys are some real haters.  Let's not forget something about Dre....HE IS NOT REALLY AN ARTIST LIKE SNOOP, EM AND OTHER RAPPERS.  Dre is a producer first and foremost as he himself has said. Give him the option of completing an Em, 50 or Game album or complete Detox and he will chose to put out his artist's projects every day of the week.  Kill that noise about leading his fans around and realize his responsibilities are with his artists which makes completing Detox so difficult.   If Aftermath did not have so much talent, it would be easy for him to put out Detox but look at the Aftermath roster.  Whether Snoop is on it or not, the album will be hot. Some of you guys need to stop living in the past because Snoop is doing his thing with the Neptunes and is doing OK but Detox will outsell Snoops album 5 times over whether Snoop is on it or not.
