Title: cduniverse.com hidden charges
Post by: P2G on November 06, 2004, 10:56:39 AM
i ordered all of dj quiks albums, came to bout $75 after i had paid postage

i was happy with that. Then i get a card through my door saying theres a £12 postage bill ($20) to be paid until i can collect my cds (they hadnt paid postage which i PAID FOR!) so it came close enough to $100

not that the quik cds arent worth it, but they wont gimme the extra postage $$ i had to pay, so basically the $$ they charged me for postage was some bullshit.

wont be usin em again, - dont know if this happens when u just order one cd, but i wouldnt order more than 2 or 3 cds together if u dont wanna be hit with that charge  >:(

in the UK, if you get something imported that is worth more than a certain price, you have to pay additional charges...

its not their fault.. its the import duty imposted by our customs.

i'd use somewhere like djangos.com and get each cd sent individually ;)

yup. they have those charges, if you're ever ordering anything off ebay through an international seller, request the seller to list the cd worth price as less than $10, and you wont have it held up at customs. I usually list it at $8 for many transactions to canada or europe.
