-
It's gotta be the leaked Game track's... 8)
-
damn it was that bad a year for the west huh? (nothin against game, but he didn't drop an album) and the other albums listed are not westcoast.
-
ummm i dont remember a nice westcoast album this year
last westcoast release i bumped was wscg
but this year's best produced album would def be buck str8 outta cashville
although it had 3-4 stupid beats the rest juss fitted the mood of the album
-
production wise Knoc's album wasnt very good at all!
the dre produced track with hittman was pretty boring....
I'll go with Suga Free though, THINKIN was some vintage dj quik shit, and big saccs layed 3 bangers.....
HI-C's album had some good production too.....
-
suga free, hi c, knockturnal was tight
-
murs - 3:16 the 9th edition > * :D

hah..my bad...but then the newer songs weren't great either imo...there was a few dope beats, nothing outstanding..
-
^^^^ yeah but what has been outstanding lately? nothing imo. hardly anything has even been above avg.
-
That Knoc-turn'al album was average at best.
I think Murs has to take this one.
-

213 - The Hard Way

Spice 1 - The Ridah
dude you gotta be kiddin me. I am a HUGE spice 1 fan. this is his first album I did not buy. hell I didn't even burn it. the beats are HORRIBLE. my vote for one of the worst produced albums of the year. by far spice 1's worst album.
-
Murs - 3:16 the 9th Edition
-
pioneers for me...most of the beats were banging...and west coast
probably hi-c 2nd
-
I hate knocs album cuz of the wack ass beats...shitty production overall...except for few beats.
-
If it's only Westcoast, then it's gotta be Knoc's album, though the beats wasn't even great on that.. another sad year for the West.

actually no im not kidding you... its different and it worked. He incorporated instruments you generally dont see in rap and im glad someone finally used the spanish guitars again.
-
Veterans Day had some good shit on it. Mixtapes is where the west is shining right now, Bloc Runnaz and Young Hogg$ shit is on fire. Go get that shit!
-
Murs - 3:16 9th Edition
Sinful aka El Pecador - Confesiones De Un Pecador
Cypress Hill - Til Death Do Us Part
Dilated Peoples - Neighborhood Watch
I'm pretty happy with the West this year.
-
dont forget that gift of gab album
-
Encore had some dope production, too.
That's the rapper, not the album.
-
Murs...unfortunately its producer's from North Carolina
so if you askin for west coast producers i might have to say Till Death Do Us Part
-
Hi-C gets my vote, all the beats are bangin on that CD
-
Spice 1 - The Ridah

I second that. I was thinking the same exact thing when I read his post

If we going with West Coast producers then I'd say Madlib Remixes Vol 2, y'all really need to check it out, he chopped the shit out of some funk tracks, and most of the beats on there were straight west coast.
-
Frontline album is one of the best produced lp from the LEFT YADIDMEAN !!!
