What really happened to these guys? Seems like they were the secret weapons to Dre from 1999-2002.
Also, does that poster still come around who was full of knowledge? We all were pretty sure it was Mel-Man.
-
I remember the "poster" guy said if Rakims album didnt come out he would leave Aftermath.
-
Really? Interesting.
I think it was a Source article where they interviewed Mel-Man and for some reason I think he said some no tso nice things, this was around the time of the Shady vs. Source/Murder Inc beef.
-
Scott is having success on his own , He did One of the best beat this year (Lean Back) and The New single By The R&B singer Mario wich is hot (Let me love you) and he's now the one fucking Lil Kim
-
Yup XXL had an interview with Storch, didn't read it yet; the XXL hasn't been available yet in Holland :-\
And I am also wondering bout Mel-Man, he did that dope track with Stat Quo, High Beams... Maybe he'll drop some production on Stats' album?
-
Mel Man back with the Math but he aint do too much over there coz Mike Elizondo is Dre´s new guy and he´s hella more talented then Mel Man so i mos def understand why Dre aint using Mel a lot.

-
I just listened to High Beams and it is a hotter breat than a lot of Dre stuff out now. He and Dre need to start co-producing again.
-

yeah i know, mellowman hasnt posted since before rakim got dropped. he said he was gonna leave "interscope, not dre" if the rakim album didnt come out. well, we havent had a post from him in about a year and a half. i always thought it was mike elizondo
-
I think that guy was bullshittin.
-
I have been gone for like 2 years bro, not 2 months.

mellowman got upset and stopped posting here because dedicato kept posting up his posts for us here as 'fact' on his aftermath site.. even when mellowman asked him not to.
so you know who to blame...
-
Mark Batson will probably be working with Dre on the new project.
-
I'm almost positive that Mellowman was Mike Elizondo. Mike still posts, believe it or not, on Brian Wilson's message board. (I'm not shitting you).
-
Who is this Mark Batson guy?
Trauma how do you know Mike posts on Brian Wilson's site? Speaking of, SMiLE was a good album.
-
i really enjoyed reading mellowman's posts...oh well hopefully he'll drop some info once more :)

... because he does. I've seen him post on Brian's message board, under the name Mike Elizondo, and he once mentioned that he was a fan of Brian's bass playing, being a bass player himself. Same guy. He also responded to a thread about Dre over there, but he's never let on that he's Dre's bass player.

ANyone hear what Hittman & Ben Baller are up to? WHat about Truth Hurts, Joe Beast, Rakim and Brooklyn?
Also I heard Dre has a bunch of producers like Focus and others.
Anyone knows what's up wit em?
-
all the artist you first mentioned are all gone, he's got focus and hi-tek on the math as producers i believe
edit:
supposedly brooklyn has a writing deal with the math, and last ben baller said (about a year ago) hittman was writing for detox....dunno if its actually true though

True ...
-
Where the fuck is Hittman nowadays?? he just fell off the face of the earth. he didn't even drop an album? wtf?? how can some one go from being the most antisipated artist from one of the most top selling hip hop albums of all time to a nobody. I mean as a solo artist he didn't even get the chance to be a "has been". the kid is a "never was"
-
Hi-Tek on the Math? I heard Pharoah Monch was on the label too, is that true?
I hope Dre can get some good writers for Detox, he sounds kind of stupided reciting Em's rhymes. He should get 50 or The Game to write Detox that would be sick.
-
ANyone have the article link or scan of The Source when they interviewed Mel and some other x Math members>
-
I heard Pharoah Monch was on the label too, is that true?
yea, Pharoahe is signed to Aftermath.
-
Spitkickers: So what's the deal with your label situation?
Pharoahe: The label situation is a done deal, but I ain't announcing it before it's official. I don't want it to come from my mouth until we have a press conference.
That's the last Pharoahe said about it.. and that's 4 months ago, nothing since then..
Shady/Aftermath was the rumour back then.
-
whos song is high beam? am i missin out on somethin?
-
High Beam is Stat Quo's song porduced by Mel.
-
on http://www.aftermathmusic.com/ ; it sayin Pharoahe is signed to Shady Records. Click on 'Artists' and scroll down..
-
I spoke to Pharoah's manager when he was performing out here a month or two ago and he said Pharoah was signed to Shady not Aftermath
