MPC 4000 is pretty much top of the line, industry shit. U know? So wit that said, I'd go wit MPC, but MV-8000 will get the job done just as good. But here's a lil secret, doesn't matter what U have, what matters is who's working behind it.

what rodzilla said is true, but certain people like different workflows.

I just got the roland fantom x and I gotta say I lvoe it to the death. I can create ideas so quick in it. the sequencing is a little complicated when you want to place individual loops you created everywhere. but it is a banger. the sounds are icnredible for the msot part. It has the pads like the MPC and you can upgrade your sample ram to allow to record 51 minutes worth of audio into it.

it is a dope machine without a doubt.

MPC 4000 i am more familiar with than the MV 8000 so I would say MPC. but it is all up to you. I would check places like futureproducers.com for this.
