singing?
i dont anybody on this board has the answer.
-
You know what's really bad is about that point? Amaru was always like: "We gotta change the originals, 'cause we can't pay the originals because of the samples they used." But now, suprisingly Santa Claus came and gave 'em a sack full of cash, so it is no problem to get samples from Dido and Elton John.
-
::)
-
lol@everybody acting like this is the first disgrace postmortem album of pac ::)
-
Dido is all Eminem's doing
-
i'm surprised that elton john and dido or on the album but didn't pac work with madonna and alanis morrisette when he was alive. they are just singing.
-
man people bitch about everything....i can understand not wanting g-unit on the album and whatever i would much rather not have them on there either....but c'mon....dido and elton john....atleast they are using artists you would never expect and not jumping on the g-unit bandwagon with every single track
-
LMAO.
People are bitching about Eminem, Dido & G-Unit on a Pac album..
Did you sleep when they put Jazze Pha, Trick Daddy, Nas, Mya, etc. on a 2Pac album.. ?? :D ;D
Hilarious.

Easy for you to say, you love hearing anything Shady/Aftermath affiliated
but I agree, Nas bein on a Pac album was the worst considering Pac had beef with homie

i think its hilarious when people get too involved in music....seriously....why is it so bad that "pac had beef with homie" and they put him on a song.....beef or not the fact is it sounds good....
and wtf is wrong with putting somebody pac had beef with on a song......by your logic then they should've just left the OG version of runnin alone....never released it again because of the fact that pac had beef with biggie
-

Indeed.
To quote Immortal Technique:
"But do you know what I think is just pathetic and gay?
when niggas speculate what the fuck Pac would say
you don't know shit about a dead man's perspective
and talking shit will get ya neck bone disconnected"
It's even funnier when they pull out the microscope:
"Hmm, did Pac know this dude.. ?".. "Would Pac have dissed this rapper, I will have to find out before I can say that I like this track".. "Pac called <insert rapper> fat, so I guess his career is over".. "This one is from the East, so Pac would have dissed him, putting him on a track is blasphemy!"
It's good entertainment though. :D

Naw, there's a lot of Shady/Aftermath stuff I don't like, and most of this album sounds like too much of the same stuff, it's still far from the worst Pac album.
I bet you'd love it if they gave Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, Ashanti & Dipset the task to remix a new Pac album though.

lol wrong
ive always felt they should either release it the way it is or get the producers he worked with (Johnny J, Daz, Quik) to make newer beats.
but honestly, Heatmakerz would make beats better than Em did

What this all comes down to is, this isn't a Tupac album. This is just a basterdized blender of Tupac's voice he happened to lay down on a tape years ago. There's nothing Tupac about this. This is the equivalent of them hiding a tape recorder in his house, and recording him talking, and then making it into songs after he died. All of this shit is bottom of the barrel shit, and people say that since Pac was so prolific at writing, you know, he had all this stuff in the vaults waiting to come out... no he didn't. He would have continued being prolific, the shit you're hearing now is the absolute DREDGES of his catalog, he NEVER would have released any of this shit. The moment they started doing shit to the songs without him in the room was the moment it stopped being about him, and started being about money.
Now, with that said.. I don't really care that they're doing it. You'd expect them to do it, to make money, he would want them to do it.
You can't go around bitching about who's on the songs, etc. though, because NONE of this shit is how he would have intended it... UNHEARD.

thats no different.
no matter what its not "original" so fuck it..
people won't ever be happy unless the originals come out.
some people dissed daz for what he was doing when he changed things for the makaveli and dillinger project.. and thats closer to "pac's intentions" than any other shit thats come out.
the problem is
1) some songs just arent complete.. having the original producer finsih it up might be the best option there.
2) some songs complete or not havent got the samples cleared.. and you cant always clear a sample.. pac fans will never never get this.
i hope that one day everything that can be dropped in its original form will be.
for now you'll just have to put up with the 2pac "OG Project" as the closest you're ever going to get

I wish Pac was alive today to tell motherfuckers to stop releasing what he may feel is not his best work in his best effort

The Jazze Pha produced "Fair XChange" was hot as fuck, one of the best post-mortem Pac tracks IMO. Nas is bullshit because Pac would have never worked with him, they had beef. Trick Daddy, what's wrong with him? I would have perferred the Kurupt verses on the track, but oh well. Mya? What's wrong with that?

I guess there's nothing wrong with Jazze Pha or Trick Daddy, or Mya or Nas for that sake.. it's just the double standard that a lot of Pac fans expresses every time they see somebody they don't personally like redoing a Pac-track, doing a Pac-tribute, or sampling him, hence this (http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=62039.msg686642#msg686642) reply.
Daz been doing some Pac-tracks as well lately, I fail to see how those tracks are any hotter at all, just because he had worked with Pac it seems to be ok....

All I want is original Pac tracks on an album. The only CD I bought of unreleased shit was Until The End of Time...and we all know how that turned out. After that, I stick to exclusively downloading them if even that. Sure, Elton John, change of pace, yadda yadda...but why the hell don't they just release the Pac & Madonna track if they want a change of pace? At least he did record that track with her. Half of these fuckers on the albums can't rap to save their lives, yet they are on the album, and worse yet the actually have a career doing it.
I mean sure, the songs sound dated because they were recorded back in 96, but that is why people buy the album. They want to hear Pac. Not the next rapper that is barely hanging on to their own 15 minutes of fame.
-
makes me wonder how many of the people complaining about this album on the board have heard it yet....
honestly this album hasnt left my stereo in my car for a few days now....i think for the most part it was very well maid....it has a couple lame tracks (out on bail, hennessy w/ obie)....but for the most part i thoroughly enjoyed this album.
-
i like the album.....dat dido track reminds me alot of Sing for the moment and Dont come down.....maybe the bassline i dunno just reminds me of it...and dat hennesy track wit obie is cool...."Big Ballin Ass Nigga Named Trice!!!"<<<<<i was like :o :o :o when i first heard dat...couldnt believe my fuckin ears str8 up....but the red spyda mix is better i'd say....dat track reminds me of Dog Pound 4 life for sum reason...btw i wonder wat happened to the kanye west beat afeni was sopposedly gonna get from him..woulda been interesting to see wat kinda beat kanye woulda cooked up

Well shit, it's better than Lil Mo' or Trick Daddy being on his fuckin album.
