death cab for cutie (just signed a deal so i dont think they are indie anymore but whatever)
the postal service (death cab singer ben gibbard's other project)
minus the bear
reeve oliver
a street to nowhere
coheed & cambria

yo.. what exactly is indie.. i enjoy this 1 band called french kicks and some chick told me it was indie.. but ..

Brian Wilson, he's indy.  He released his last album on Rhino, and SMiLE on NoneSuch records.

indie = independent.....smaller record labels and such

o.. so ANy artist thats independent is INDIE.. shit aint really like a music style. ??? most of the shit u listed is mostly punk.. but i like modest mouse.. i need to listen to a song other than float on tho :(

indie...well, so i guess i could come up with SPM, Mitchy Slick or JT, too? Well, since your stuff was mostly punk and shit...

as popular as they are, i guess all those Fat Wreck Chords bands do go for indie...

there are more of those bands and out of all them, there are many i don't know too well, but i enjoy the shit i got/heard
