Nobody knows what Mack 10 is doing and nobody cares. He quickly faded into obscurity and no, that last Westside Connection album doesn't count. (It was released well after the death of hip-hop) Critics of gangsta rap, who claim the style refuses to grow and mature, have to look no further than Mack 10 for empirical evidence. Mack 10 made a million simply kicking the same game Cube did 6 years prior to Mack 10.
More empirical evidence to support my claims that West Coast hip-hop is dead. Exzibit A= Mack 10

you're a couple of years behind, son ;)

I think Bang or Ball wuz decent and that Gangsta gutter n w/e album wuz preety gay
i dont see mack 10 makin a decent cd ever again. he cant match his debut releases.
-
Rumor has it Mack and CJ Mac are makin another movie
-
I wouldn't mind hearnin a new mack 10 album. bang or ball had some definite bangers.
-
Mack 10 albums were always either hit or miss. I wouldn't mind another CD from him, but I doubt it would sell a whole lot, or have much content on it.
-
it'd be aight by me if Mack Dime stayed out of the game permanently. a few guest spots would be coo', but no more solo albums. we don't even need another Connect Gang album either.
-
last time i herd him he was on that "dear mr. president" track but other that that i haven't heard from him. why do people hate him so much? is it cuz he can't rap that good? or his cd's are wack? too me i think he's a tight west coast rapper
-
He's working at the Jack In The Box on 101st and Broadway..he's off on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I personally think Mack 10's star has faded quite a bit since "Based On a True Story". Lyrically he has improved although not by much over the years. Remember this is the same guy who spit " I bust like a pimple" and "stronger than a Coca-Cola" on "Bow Down" circa 1996.

Dear God why?

Mack didn't write his rhymes on any on Bow Down. Cube did. And that Coca-Cola line isn't about the drink.
-
I actually think Mack 10's pretty dope. I love him on "I Want It All" with Warren G, he was the perfect cat for that.
-
why so much hate on Mack 10? homie one of the few cats that always keep it West Coast (even while on Cash Money). and the only artist that can pull off that relaxed flow and not sound lazy. im waitin for his next project (whatever it may be).
-
Da Hood was a dope album
the song 'please'
wow, i loved that song, turned my friends on it too, they liked it too...

ROTFL!
Anyway, are Westside Connection beefing or something? I remember hearing that rumor...

I did not know that Mack 10 wrote his own rhymes on the "Bow Down" album. I obviously misunderstood the coke line.
Thanks for the info.
